BJP and SAD committed for further strengthening of the NDA: JP Nadda

After becoming the BJP National President Shri JP Nadda visited Punjab on 20 February, 2020. Shri Nadda landed at the Bathinda airport and got a grand welcome with flowers and the traditional bhangra from the Karyakartas.

He went to Muktsar village to meet Akali Dal patriarch and former CM Shri Parkash Singh Badal. When he reached Badal’s village the natives extended a grand welcomed to Shri J P Nadda with the traditional bhangra. The BJP President met the former Punjab CM as a courtesy call and deliberated on strengthening the NDA in the state.

Coming out of the meeting, Shri Nadda told reporters that, “I had gone to the village to meet the veteran leader Shri Parkash Singh Badal Sahab, one of India’s most respected statesman and it’s a courtesy call. We have good relations with the Badals. Meeting with Badal Sahab always inspires us,” he said.

Asked about the relations between the BJP and the SAD, he said, “BJP and SAD have old, important and strong alliance, we remained together in good and odd circumstances. BJP and SAD is committed for further strengthening of the NDA and we are committed for this cause.”

He said, “A few days ago, I met with SAD president Shri Sukhbir Singh Badal. Alliance is very much strong and will remain intact in future too, Shri Nadda Said”.

The BJP National President also went to Amritsar and being welcomed by the party workers during his visit. He paid obeisance at the Golden Temple, Durgiana Mandir and Ram Tirath. Later, he had a closed-door meeting with Punjab BJP leaders in Amritsar.

Shri Nadda was accompanied by BJP National Vice-President and party in-charge for Punjab Shri Prabhat Jha and other senior leaders of BJP.
