Honest and transparent governance helped BJP to regain public support once again : Anil Jain

In the recently concluded Haryana Assembly elections, the BJP emerged as the single largest party and in alliance with JJP formed the government in the state. Party National General Secretary and in-charge of Haryana Dr. Anil Jain spoke regarding the elections and the government formation in the state. In an interaction with Sanjeev Sinha, Associate Editor Kamal Sandesh Dr. Jain said that due to the honest and transparent governance under CM Shri Manohar Lal Khattar last time the BJP won the public support again. Excerpts of the conversation :

In the recently concluded assembly elections, BJP emerged as single largest party and formed the government. What was the reason behind this achievement ?

We were able to achieve this because PM Shri Narendra Modi is running a very strong government at the Center which is committed for the development of the country and therefore, he is immensely popular among the masses. Secondly, the strategy of BJP National President Shri Amit Shah, his organizational activities through Vijay Sankalp Rally, Panna Pramukh Conference, election Meetings, Intensive state visit and Dialogue etc. and whole hearted efforts of our Karyakartas finally helped the party to perform better. For that, last time itself we improved our seats from 4 seats to 47 seats in Haryana. And we got 40 seats this time but able to form the government with allies.

What major achievements of the Haryana government enabled BJP to regain the public support once again ?

With BJP’s emergence in Haryana, the State was free from corruption and nepotism. So the biggest achievement of this government is that ‘they delivered an honest and transparent government’. The government gave the jobs without ‘Parchi and Kharchi’. Apart from this, the Manohar Lal Khattar government has done a lot of welfare works for the people during its first tenure. ‘One Haryana- One Haryanvi’, development without discrimination, providing jobs in a transparent manner, honest transfer policy; are the works which enhanced the image and popularity of BJP government.

Secondly, the BJP government gave as much compensation as it promised to farming and farmers. The central government increased compensation by one and a half times, and Haryana increased it by two times. Ever since the Haryana State was formed, a total compensation of 1200 cr has been given till 2014 but during our time this amount touched nearly 3600 crores since 2014.

Thirdly, the government committed to purchase every single grain from the farmers and ensured it. The government has also increased MSP by 92 percent. These are main reasons behind the performance of the party.

After forming government for second time CM Manohar Lal Khattar is ready to implement NRC in the state. What’s the roadmap ?

NRC needs to be implemented across the country because Bangladeshi infiltrators have come and settled everywhere. There are many places like Faridabad, Panipat, Yamunanagar, and Gurgaon in the state where their presence has been creating a lot of problem for the natives. This matter is directly related to the security of the country, thus Chief Minister had said that NRC would be implemented in the whole state soon.
Apart from NRC, there are several other development works, that we have promised during electioneering will be implemented in a time bound manner.
