PM MODI SPEAKS TO ASSAM CHIEF MINISTER REGARDING FLOOD SITUATION

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi assured all possible help to deal with the situation arising out of floods in Assam. Shri Modi held a discussion with Assam Chief Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal about the flood situation. He also inquired about the status of Covid-19 and the ongoing efforts of Oil India to extinguish the fire in the Bagjan gas well.

  • Shri Sonowal tweeted, “Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi inquired about flood situation in Assam, Covid-19 related situation and fire related situation in Bagjan oil well.”
  • He said, “The Prime Minister expressed concern and solidarity with the people of state and assured to provide all possible help.”
  • Out of the 33 districts in Assam 26 districts are affected with flood and over 27 lakh people suffering from this natural disaster. In many places houses, crops, roads and bridges were destroyed.
