A survey finds most indians believe modinomics working

According to a report published in TOI on December 16, the most Indians believe Modinomics is working, as 74 per cent respondents, in an online survey conducted in 9 languages across 10 Times Group media properties, share the government’s view that the country’s economy is on an upward trajectory. The three part-survey was conducted online between December 12-15 with over half a million responses.

About 74 per cent of respondents share the Modi government’s optimism that the Indian economy on the right track and is set to grow in the coming years. The Modi government’s decision to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes has got an overwhelming endorsement from the voters. Three-quarters of respondents in the survey lauded the Centre’s decision to introduce the note ban and a unified tax for India, whereas only 21 per cent objected to the tough economic reforms.
