Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda while addressing the booth-level workers’ conference at BJP office in Dehradun virtually, called upon the workers to set the agenda instead of following the agenda of others.

Shri Nadda said that when I was planning120-day nationwide pravas for strengthening the organization and expansion of the party, I decided that I should start it from the holy land of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is not only the focal point of spiritual consciousness, but it is also the land of countless brave soldiers who have given away their lives to protect the country. I worship such a great land.

Under PM Modi’s leadership country is progressing at a fast pace

The BJP President said that under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is moving at a fast pace on the path of continuous development. He said that in Bihar we have contested 110 Vidhan Sabha seats and won 74seats. Our winning strike rate was 67%. The people of Bihar expressed their unwavering faith in Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and his developmental agenda by defeating the politics of chaos and anarchy. Similarly, all the parties in Uttar Pradesh were contesting against the BJP, but the people there also chose the path of development. Not only this, in the assembly elections and by-elections held in Bihar, Manipur, Telangana, Gujarat and other states, the people gave their blessings to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and decided that they do not want to support the politics of casteism, dynasty and appeasement.

Effective Covid Management

Speaking on Covid Management, the BJP National President said that Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, taking the right and bold decision at the right time, not only ensured the safety of 130 crore countrymen, but also through ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ and ‘Garib Kalyan Yojana’ providing socio-economic security. Whether it is the number of tests per day, testing labs, dedicated Covid Hospitals, production of ventilators, production of PPE kits, production of face masks, India has made significant progress during lockdown in every sector. Today, our testing facility has reached 1.5 million per day. There are sufficient number of dedicated covid beds today, today we are becoming self sufficient in ventilator production and today, we are exporting PPE kits to other countries.

Uttarakhand is also not behind in race. Today more than 13 thousand tests are being done daily in Uttarakhand, 58 labs have also been operational in the state. There are 11 Covid dedicated Hospitals in the state, with adequate number of ICUs, oxygen support and ventilator support are also available. Under the Garib Kalyan package, three gas cylinders were made available free of cost to about 8 crore families and three installments of Rs 500 were credited in the accounts of 20 crore women Jan Dhan account holders. Financial assistance of Rs 1000 was provided to the Divyang, widows and the elderly during the lockdown, while the farmers were given two installments of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. One lakh crore rupees were set aside for agricultural infrastructure development. Under the Kisan Samman Nidhi, an amount of one lakh crore rupees has been transferred to the bank account of farmers. Now the central government is implementing ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’ so that ration can be easily available to the needy people anywhere in the country. Free food grains were supplied to 80 crore people for 8 months, which was a unique campaign in itself. A fund of 20 lakh crore rupees was sanctioned under the Self-Reliant India Campaign, out of which one lakh crore rupees were allocated for agricultural infrastructure and three lakh crore rupees for MSMEs. We are also working to promote local products and entrepreneurs under the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign. During the election, we used Kumaon region rangoli in every advertisement, we can brand it too.
Shri Nadda said that when all the political parties had locked themselves, then only and only the Bharatiya Janata Party devoted itself to the service of humanity. Party workers, regardless of their lives, served every needy. Food packets were distributed to them, ration kits were given, medicines were given to the elderly, face covers and sanitizers were also distributed during this programme. Blood donation camps were also organized in hundreds of places, books were provided to children and many other kinds of assistance were also provided.

Upliftment of the villages, poor and farmers

BJP National President said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, for the upliftment of the villages, poor and farmers of the country, we have taken many steps like Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwal Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, we have successfully implemented such schemes. In the 70 years of independence, the Congress ruled for almost 55 years, but neither women had toilets, nor did the poor had access to the banks, there was no electricity in every village, nor was there any health facility for the poor.

But during the last six years of the tenure of Modi government, electricity has reached to every village, toilets were constructed, the poor got the access in banking services and got the free treatment. In Uttrakhand 5.22 lakh toilets were built and it was declared ODF, electricity has reached to homes and the state government complementing the Ayushman India added another dimension with Atal Ayushman Yojana scheme under which so far 2.12 lakh people of the state have benefited. And the government has spent more than Rs 200 crore on this scheme.

More than 1.25 billion people have been benefited under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana across the country and an amount of about Rs.15,500 crore has been spent on it. All weather road is being built for the Char Dham Yatra with a cost of Rs. 12 thousand crores in the state, Karnprayag railway line has been started and under Namami Ganga scheme crores of rupees have been spent to clean Maa Ganga in state. Due to the untiring efforts of the Modi government, many prestigious institutes such as the Drone Application Center, Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology, National Law University and the Coast Guard are now being opretional in the state. Nearly 50 thousand water connections have been given in the state, which has ensured water access to people of Uttrakhand.

One Rank, One Pension

Shri Nadda said that whether it is Uttarakhand or Himachal Pradesh, people from almost every house have served the nation, who are constantly working to ensure the security of the nation even under adverse circumstances. It is the Modi government that has met the demand for ‘One Rank, One Pension’ which was pending for 40 years. In Uttarakhand alone, about one lakh military personnels have benefited from this. Today, we are not only making world class bullet proof jackets, but we are also exporting it. While 36 Rafale airfighters are coming to protect the border of the country, 28 Apache and 15 Chinook helicopters as well as Surface to Air missiles and Howitzer cannons have also been added in military power. He said that there is a problem on the border today, but under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, from Arunachal Pradesh to Ladakh, we have written a new history of infrastructure development on the border and the jawans on the border are ready to face any challenge. Roads are being built on the border, bridges are being built, runways are being built. More recently, the Prime Minister has dedicated the Atal Tunnel to the nation. We have defeated the enemies in their house and eliminated the terrorists by performing surgical strikes and air strikes. India is ready in every way to protect the borders of the country under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

BJP National President said that due to the politics of appeasement of the Congress, Section 370 was not repealed. He said that it was the strong political will of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the efficient strategy of Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, on the strength of which we brought down Article 370. All Congress leaders, from Rahul Gandhi to Chidambaram, Shashi Tharoor and Mani Shankar Aiyar, are advocating to re-instate Article 370, these people have fallen to such a level in politics that they are now seen standing in opposition to the country. Pakistan uses their statements against India in the United Nations, these people become media headlines in the enemies’ country. God give them wisdom!

Repealing Article 370

Shri Nadda said that as long as Article 370 was in force in Jammu and Kashmir, anti-corruption laws were not enforced there. The rest of the country’s laws also did not apply there. Today, when the Anti-Corruption Law is implemented in Jammu and Kashmir after the abolition of Section 370, each case of corruption is being highlighted one by one. The Gupkar Alliance is a coalition of such corrupt people. They are forming such an alliance to save the corruption they have committed. I want to make it clear that not a single culprit will escape from punishment in the BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, but yes, it must be remembered that we do not do anything with political malice. The law will do its job.

The BJP National President said that party workers should work as bridge between the central government and state government of the Bharatiya Janata Party. We have given a new dimension to development in every field. Politics is a mission for us and we are all to bring about developmental changes in the country. It is our responsibility that even if we do not get compliments, we continue to work for the upliftment of the country. All the other political parties have become the party of the family, it is only the Bharatiya Janata Party where the party is the family, the development of the nation is its principle and ‘Antyodaya’ and ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishvas’ is its fundamental mantra.

In the evening Shri Nadda addressed the social media volunteers of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

On the last day of his Uttarakhand pravas, on December 7, Shri Nadda held discussions with top party leaders in the state at the Bijapur Guest House, Dehradun. Shri Nadda also met Uttarakhand Chief Minister and the council of ministers there. The BJP National President discussed the current political scenario in the state and the future strategy of BJP for Uttarakhand.
