The BJP National President Shri Amit Shah was on three-day pravas in Maharashtra. He arrived on June 16 in Mumbai.
It is noteworthy that Shri Amit Shah is currently on 110-day nationwide tour covering all states to take stock and strengthen the party organisation across India.

He held a series of meetings with Party karykartas. He also met leaders of the allies, Republican Party of India (A), Rashtriya Samaj Party, Shivsangram Party and Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana and Shiv Sena.

On the last day of his Pravas, Shri Shah also addressed groups of citizen, civil society and opinion makers.

While interacting with the groups he extensively discussed Modi government policies and its achievements of three years. Shri Shah said that in multy party system the parties must be evaluated on three basis-first inner party democracy, second principle of the party and third working style of party after coming in power. “In the country there are 1650 political parties including all small and big. He said only the BJP has inner party democracy. The parties which lack inner party democracy can not uphold India’s democratic ethos. Emergency type situation does not come through notification that comes just because of mentality of party leaders.

Shah slammed Congress and said that the BJP believed in action, achieving targets and delivering on the development agenda.
Attacking the Congress and other political parties over dynasty politics, Shah said, “You don’t have to be born in a particular family or belong to a caste to become the national president of the BJP. If we want to save our democracy, we have to select the party that still has its internal democracy intact.”

He reiterated that Congress party was devoid of principles and a special purpose vehicle to attain freedom.” “The Congress was not formed on principles; people from different ideologies came together to fight for freedom. After independence the Congress stayed in politics just for power,” said Shri Shah.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, president of Maharashtra’s BJP unit Raosaheb Danve, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, and Union Minister of State Independents for Power Piyush Goyal also attended the address. Shah also praised Fadnavis for transforming Mumbai with various infrastructure projects.
