The bugle has been sounded for assembly elections in five states. The people of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram are going to elect their governments by casting their votes in different phases spread between the month of November and December, 2018. The counting will take place on 11th December. All the political parties having stakes in these elections have already geared up and going to the people seeking their support in the elections. The election campaigns have started to engage people on ground who are getting ready to exercise their franchise.

The people of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have been electing BJP governments for last three elections and in Rajasthan BJP registered a massive victory in the last assembly elections held in 2013. In Telangana where elections have been preponed due to early dissolution of the state assembly, TRS is in the government. Mizoram is currently ruled by a Congress government.

Madhya Pradesh has seen massive development under BJP government. A state which was once counted among BIMARU states, it has done wonders in every area of governance and development. The agricultural growth story of this state has seen sustainable high growth rates transforming the entire agricultural sector in the state. In the same manner the economy has also registered remarkable growth making Madhya Pradesh a leading state in many sectors. The leadership of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has won hearts of the people who have reposed faith in him repeatedly.

Similarly Chhattisgarh has written its own saga of growth and development under the chief minister Dr. Raman Singh. A state having predominantly tribal population, treaded the path of rapid development after it was carved out of Madhya Pradesh. It was the visionary leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee that Chhattisgarh came into being on the lines of BJP support for small states. Its development story has not only quelled the fire of Naxalism in the area but also made possible rapid industrialization of the state.

In Rajasthan BJP received huge mandate after a period of Congress misrule. With the coming of BJP the state has again started moving on the path of good governance and development. A large number of welfare programmes are transforming the life of the people in the state. The state under the leadership of chief minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje has been progressing on every front.

In the entire Northeast, people in most of the states have been reposing faith in BJP and NEDA. Like other parts in the country, Congress has lost trust of the people in Northeast also. In Mizoram, people are looking for a change and BJP may gain here substantially. In Telangana also, TRS popularity is down which is evident from its gamble to prepone the elections in the state. BJP is set to make big gains in Telangana.

Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, people are increasingly reposing their trust again and again on BJP. The deep concern of the BJP government for the poorest of the poor in the country has been reflected in countless innovative projects and schemes which are transforming the lives of farmers, Dalits, OBCs, women and youth. The hard work and visionary leadership of Amit Shah has taken the party organisation to new heights with millions of karyakartas feeling inspired to dedicate their lives in the service of Maa Bharati. It has completely changed the political landscape of the country and people across the states are looking towards BJP with hope and expectations. In the coming assembly elections BJP is set for massive victories strengthening the hands of Shri Narendra Modi at the centre.
