Against the heinous incident, of rape and murder of a female doctor in West Bengal the BJP National Mahila Morcha under the leadership of National President Smt. Vanathi Srinivasan has taken out a silent candle march outside the Medical College in Kolkatta.

Later addressing the media, Smt. Srinivasan said, “It is the misfortune of West Bengal that despite having a woman Chief Minister, the sisters and daughters of the state are not safe. It is with profound sadness and outrage that I am here to bring the attention of a female Chief Minister to address the recent horrific incident involving the brutal rape and murder of a women doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital here Kolkata. This heinous act underscores the dire state of women’s safety in West Bengal and what is more shameful is that the government and administration here are completely united and trying to deny this incident from the beginning and tried to erase the evidence. The TMC government has become an anti-women government for whom power is paramount. We are all speechless. And we demand that the family of the female doctor should get justice and the sisters and daughters of West Beng should be safe.”
