Amid the ongoing Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh, Bhartiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda held several mega rallies in the State. Addressing the gathering during these rallies, Shri JP Nadda lashed out at the opposition Samajwadi Party for spreading Mafia Raj in the state. Taking the name of three accused Azam Khan, Mukhtar Ansari and Antique Ahmed, he said they used to have the upper hand with government support during the rule of the Samajwadi Party five years ago. He further noted that all three of them are currently serving prison terms after Yogi Adityanath-led BJP assumed power in the state.
AYODHYA
After offering prayers at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya BJP National President Shri JP Nadda addressed a mega election meeting in Ayodhya on 18 February 2022. He said, “On November 23, 2007, there were bomb blasts in three court complexes in Uttar Pradesh. Fifteen people were killed and 50 injured. The Indian Mujahideen claimed responsibility for the blasts. It took the responsibility for the bomb blasts at the Dashaswamedh Ghat, in a Shramjeevi train, and at Sarojini Nagar, Govindpuri and Paharganj in Delhi. It also took the responsibility for the Sankatmochan Varanasi blasts and the Mumbai local train bomb blasts.”
Shri Nadda said the investigating agencies had nabbed one accused from Azamgarh and another from Jaunpur. They faced trial, but Akhilesh withdrew the cases against them when he was the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh in 2012. Later, the High Court had asked whether it was the government’s job to protect terrorists. This is the real face of the SP,” he added.
Referring to SP leader Mulayam Singh Yadav’s visit to Karhal to address a poll meeting he said, “Akhilesh took his father to the constituency from where he is contesting the polls. This gives a message that he is not fighting the Uttar Pradesh polls, but only focusing on one constituency. Mulayam’s visit means that the ground of the SP has slipped from under its feet.
Speaking on the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the BJP National President said, “The work on the temple is going on at a fast pace. Our centuries-old wish is going to be fulfilled. There was an ideology behind our hopes for a Ram mandir. There was a political party carrying that ideology, with which crores of people stood.”

In this election in Uttar Pradesh half of the Samajwadi Party leaders are either contesting polls from jails or after getting bail, BJP National President Shri JP Nadda said. However, in the last five years of the Yogi Adityanath government, “the law is the same in UP but the rule has changed”, Shri JP Nadda said while addressing campaign meetings in Sultanpur and Amethi on 19 February, 2022 which go to the polls on February 27 during the fifth phase of the seven-phase UP assembly polls.
Five years ago, Azam Khan, Mukhtar Ansari and Atiq Ahmed were ruling the roost. In the BJP rule in five years, these people are playing ‘gulli-danda’ in jails. At that time, a bandage of appeasement was tied over the eyes of the king and he used to address these people as ‘sahab’, he said.
The BJP National President also attacked the Samajwadi Party for its alleged family-oriented politics. “For the Samajwadi Party, development means, development of the family. In the SP government, around 50 people of the family were occupying different posts,” he said.
This dynastic politics and regionalism are very dangerous for the country. Referring to the law against the Triple Talaq, Shri Nadda said, “The Supreme Court had said the Triple Talaq should be abolished. But no leader had the guts to annul it. Everyone was indulging in the politics of appeasement. The saviours of the Constitution had become its assailants. The Modi government enacted a law and freed Muslim women from the sting of Triple Talaq,” he said.
“All political parties were against the abrogation of Article 370. The BJP was the only one, which fought for the unity and integrity of India. The rest of the parties followed the politics of appeasement,” he said.

YOGI ADITYANATH WORKED 5 YEARS TO END MAFIA RAJ
Addressing the Gauriganj rally on 18 February 2022, BJP National President Shri JP Nadda continued his attack against former CM and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and accused his government of releasing the prime accused of Lucknow, Varanasi and Ayodhya bomb blast case under the fake banner of social harmony.
He told the gathering that when SP leaders come for campaigning, they should ask them on what grounds are they seeking votes. “It was SP and your government that had fired bullets on the devotees of Lord Ram,” he added.
Slamming the Congress, Shri Nadda said, “The Indian National Congress is no more Indian nor a national party. It has become a party of a brother-sister duo. The BJP is the only party that has an ideology.”
Hitting out at the SP, he said, “From one family itself, someone is an MP, someone is an MLA, someone is a zila panchayat chairman or a member. The SP is a dynastic party and the BJP does development. This is the difference between the two parties.”
In his speeches, Shri Nadda also mentioned the ruling of an Ahmadabad’s anti-terror court which sentenced 38 people to death for their roles in the 2008 serial blasts in the city. “When Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he had said he will do ‘DOODH KAA DOODH’ AUR ‘PAANI KAA PAANI’ and the terrorists will be caught. Now, those accused in the terror attack were convicted. This is called the governance,” he said.
