GREETINGS POUR IN FOR INDIA’S 15TH PRESIDENT

Greetings poured in from the political fraternity and people across the country after Smt. Droupadi Murmu was sworn in as the 15th President of India on 25 July, 2022. Governors, Chief Ministers, leaders of various political parties and foreign dignitaries congratulated Smt. Murmu, saying it will strengthen women empowerment.

Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India

The first in line to extend his wishes was Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who said it was a watershed moment for India, especially for the poor, marginalised and downtrodden.

Shri Modi wrote, “The entire nation watched with pride as Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji took oath as the President of India. Her assuming the Presidency is a watershed moment for India especially for the poor, marginalised and downtrodden. I wish her the very best for a fruitful Presidential tenure.”

Rajnath Singh, Union Defence Minister

Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh called this day a remarkable day in the history of Indian Republic.

In his message Shri Singh said, “Congratulations to Smt. Droupadi Murmu ji on taking oath as the 15th President of India. It is a remarkable day in the history of Indian Republic. I am confident that her rich legislative and administrative experience will benefit the nation. Best wishes for a fruitful tenure.”

In his greeting message Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari said, “History has been created today! Congratulations and best wishes to Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji on taking the oath as the 15th President of India. It is a great moment of pride for all of us.
