BJP National President’s Kerala pravas
BJP National President and Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed eminent personalities from various fields in Palakkad, Kerala, on 01 September 2024. During the event, Shri Nadda highlighted the development achievements of the Centre under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi while criticizing the Congress and Communist parties for their involvement in violence and corruption.
Shri Nadda stated that Kerala, known for its social reforms, is a land of social leaders. He also praised the people of Kerala for their hard work and dedication, expressing his respect for them. In the Lok Sabha elections of 2014, the vote share of BJP in Palakkad was 15%. By 2019, it had increased to 21.3%, and in 2024, it further rose to 24.3%. We are optimistic that your support for us will continue to grow in the coming times. Slowly and steadily, support for the BJP in Kerala is increasing.
Thanks to the people of Kerala, for the first time in 2015, the BJP won the municipal corporation of Palakkad. In 2020, out of 52 seats, the BJP secured 28 seats. The BJP is deeply grateful for the overwhelming support for the ‘Lotus’ symbol. For the first time, the BJP represents Kerala in the Lok Sabha.
BJP National President said since 2014, the change has not been limited to just the government or a political party; it has brought about a transformation in the culture of politics. Those previously in power promoted casteism, regionalism, and dynastic rule, and were supporters of the politics of appeasement. Congress introduced vote bank politics, which was later adopted by the LDF, CPM. This vote bank strategy heavily influenced their policies. However, after PM Shri Narendra Modi assumed power, the political culture has undergone a complete transformation. Reforms, report card politics, accountability, and development have now become the foundation of Indian politics. While other political parties would present manifestos without follow-up, it was Prime Minister Shri Modi who introduced the concept of report card politics, focusing on accountability and measurable outcomes.
Shri Nadda stated that the party follows the ‘P2-G2’ model, which stands for ‘Pro-People and Good Governance.’ The government is transparent, pro-people, and committed to inclusive growth, guided by the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.’ The BJP believes in ‘Reform, Perform, and Transform’ and maintains a strict ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy against corruption.
BJP National President Shri Nadda mentioned that the LDF and UDF have destroyed the culture of Kerala; they are just different sides of the same coin. Kerala, once known for its peace, development, and education, has now become a land marred by violence and corruption. The political leaders in Kerala have lost their moral credibility, with many tainted by corruption scandals, including the loan scam and the cooperative scam.
Shri Nadda slammed the Kerala government and questioned what is stopping them from releasing the Justice Hima report. He added that the reason for this is that the Chief Minister’s party is involved in the matter, which is haunting the state government.
