Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda received a grand welcome on November 21 on reaching Himachal Pradesh. The event to welcome Shri Nadda was held at the Luhanu ground in Bilaspur. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Jairam Thakur, State BJP President Shri Suresh Kashyap, state ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs) and Himachal BJYM President welcomed Shri Nadda with flowers and garlands. Hundreds of people from Bilaspur and thousands of BJP party Karyakartas also welcomed the BJP National President. Standard operating procedures for prevention of COVID were followed during the programme. The streets of Bilaspur reverberated with the slogan of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai.’
Shri Nadda was on a two days visit to the state. It was his first visit after the brilliant performance by BJP in the recently concluded assembly elections in Bihar and by-elections to 59 assembly seats across India.
Addressing the party Karyakartas, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda said, “This is the result of the hard work of all our party cadres that I am at such a big position in the party. I thank all of you for your love and affection.”
“Himachal Pradesh has a double engine government which is committed to furthering development in the state. Today under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji and State Chief Minister Shri Jairam Thakur, the state is witnessing unprecedented development,” he said.
He added, “Bharatiya Janta Party comes to power not to rule the state but to serve the villages, farmers and the poor as well as to serve Maa Bharti.”
Shri Nadda warned not to forget to maintain distancing norms. Appreciating the disciplined people of Himachal Pradesh,he said “The citizens of Himachal Pradesh have displayed such discipline in following social distancing norms. We need to keep it on our fight against COVID-19.”
Further, Shri Nadda said, “After our victory in the Bihar assembly elections, while addressing party cadres at the BJP headquarters, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji said Naddaji you keep on moving forward we are all with you. I want to thank the honourable Prime Minister for this love and support.Besides assembly elections in Bihar, there were by-elections in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Manipur and Telengana. In all these elections, the people blessed us and we emerged victorious.”
He added, “This victory is the people’s love for our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modiji for his stellar management of the COVID pandemic and his policies.From United Nations to the World Health Organisation, global institutions have praised our Prime Minister for his efforts for developing the economy and at the same time taking care of the people. During the nationwide lockdown due to COVID, Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi came out with not just a Rs 20 lakh crore Aatmanirbhar Bharat mission, but also a Rs 1.70 lakh crore Gareeb Kalyan Yojna. To ensure that no poor in this country sleeps empty stomach or suffer due to the problems created by the pandemic, our Prime Minister distributed free food grains to poor from March to November this year.
Wherever I get the honour of serving the country, I always fondly remember each and every party Karyakartas of Himachal Pradesh. You are my strength. We all will work together to strengthen the BJP government led by Shri Jairam Thakur in the state.
