In a press statement, the BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji said at a time when the Corona pandemic posed big threat not only to India but to the entire world and when humanity was under threat, in these extremely difficult and trying times our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji gave a new lease of life to more than 130 crores Indians and also showed the world how to effectively deal with the pandemic. The Prime Minister gave confidence and strength to the citizens to fight the pandemic. He not only prepared a strong castle against the Corona pandemic which gave safety and security to all and also did not let our economy slow down. The efforts of the Narendra Modi government gave India the strength and will power to fight the pandemic successfully.

Taking proactive and preemptive steps against the Corona pandemic, Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji constituted a ‘Vaccine Task Force‘ on April 14, 2020. On November 8, 2020  our Prime Minister visited all the three vaccine manufacturing facilities – Serum Institute, Bharat Biotech and Zydus Biotech – where he took stock of the situation and took first hand information of the progress in vaccine development and manufacturing. Within nine months of the setting up of the ‘Vaccine Task Force‘ India successfully developed not one but two world class ‘Made In India‘ Covid vaccines. And now within 278 days, India, under the decisive leadership and guidance of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, has once again surprised the entire world by reaching the 100 crore mark of the vaccination administered in the country.

From the culture of  ‘this cannot be done‘, ‘we cannot do this‘, our Honourable Prime Minister assured all Indians that we have the courage and capacity to cross all hurdles and accomplish the impossible. He told the country that if 130 crore Indians resolve to do something, that task will be accomplished come what may. And with this resolve in mind the Narendra Modi government with the help and cooperation of every Indian made this impossible task possible. India is successfully running the world’s fastest and largest Corona vaccination programme.

Our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji had full confidence and trust on our scientists and doctors that India will be able to develop a vaccine against the Coronavirus. But some Opposition parties had no trust in our scientists and doctors and their leaders always mocked and ridiculed our scientists and doctors. But the Narendra Modi government and our scientists and doctors crossed all hurdles and manufactured two vaccines.

On January 16, 2021 world’s largest Corona vaccination programme started in India.  On February 19 we crossed 1 crore vaccination mark, and then 10 crore mark on April 11, 25 crore on 12 June, 50 crore on August 6, 75 crore on September 13 and now on October 21 India has completed 100 crore vaccinations in a record time. The credit of this goes to our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji who exhorted and trusted our health workers, doctors, paramedical staff, Corona warriors and frontline workers which led to India achieving the world record of 100 crore vaccinations.

India has surpassed the number of Corona vaccination doses given in the entire European Union. We have done vaccinations over two-and-a-half-times more than the USA. States like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Sikkim, and Union Territories like Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Ladakh and Lakshadweep have completed 100% of the first dose of vaccination to its citizens.

In the past few weeks India managed to cross the 1 crore daily vaccination mark several times. On September 17, the birthday of our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the entire nation in a massive ‘Jan Abhiyan’ galvanized and helped India set a new record by vaccinating 2.5 crore citizens on a single day.

It is time again to laud the success of our scientists and doctors who developed the vaccines, and the courage and dedication of our paramedical staff and health workers who helped us cross the 100-crore vaccination milestone in such a short period. Let us celebrate India’s achievement of giving a 100-crore jabs of hope. Let us continue to work together to defeat this pandemic under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

I once again congratulate and thank the people of the country and the Narendra Modi government for achieving this historic feat in a record time. I also thank our health workers, doctors, paramedical staff, Corona warriors and frontline workers who have done extreme hard work and broken several barriers in making India’s fight against the Corona pandemic successful. And I also thank and congratulate our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for leading from the front in India’s fight against the deadly pandemic and converting adversity into an opportunity and by guiding and trusting each and every Indian in these difficult times. I also thank crores of Bharatiya Janata Party workers for their selfless service to humanity and to the country.
