PM DISTRIBUTES 71,000 JOB LETTERS AT ROZGAR MELA

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi distributed 71,056 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits under Rozgar Mela in New Delhi on 22 November, 2022. The Prime Minister also launched the Karmayogi Prarambh module, which is an online orientation course for all new appointees in various Government departments.
The Rozgar Mela is the government’s initiative for employment generation. As per the statement, the mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development directly. Earlier in October, appointment letters were handed over to 75,000 newly inducted appointees under Rozgar Mela.

Addressing the appointees, PM Shri Modi called them ‘Saarthis’heralding the nation towards development. “You are getting this new responsibility in a special era. The country has entered Amrit Kaal. We the citizens have taken the resolution to make India a developed nation in this duration. To attain this resolution, you’re going to be the ‘Saarthi’ of the country,” Shri Modi said.

The Prime Minister noted that youths are the biggest strength of India, adding that the government is working in mission mode to provide government jobs to them. He said Rozgar Mela is our endeavor to empower youth and make them the catalyst in national development.

As per an official statement, the physical copies of the appointment letters to the new appointees will be handed over at 45 locations across the country (except Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh where the model code of conduct is in force in view of assembly elections).

In addition to the categories of posts filled earlier, posts of teachers, lecturers, nurses, nursing officers, doctors, pharmacists, radiographers and other technical and paramedical posts are also being filled. A significant number of posts are being filled by the Ministry of Home Affairs in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), it said.

THE KARMAYOGI PRARAMBH MODULE

The newly launched Karmayogi Prarambh module includes a code of conduct for Government servants, workplace ethics and integrity, human resource policies and other benefits and allowances that will help them to get acclimatized to the policies and transition smoothly into the new roles. They will also get an opportunity to explore other courses on w.w.w igotkarmayogi.gov.in platform to enhance their knowledge, skills and competencies, it added.

The Government of India on November 09 has made suitable amendments in the Foreign Trade Policy and Handbook of Procedures to allow for International Trade Settlement in Indian Rupees (INR) i.e., invoicing, payment, and settlement of exports / imports in Indian Rupees.
