WORLD LEADERS CONGRATULATE PM MODI FOR HISTORIC THIRD CONSECUTIVE VICTORY

US President Joe Biden, Russian President Vladimir Putin, UK PM Rishi Sunak, France’s Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and dozens of other world leaders congratulated Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi after he retained power for the third straight term. Congratulations also poured in from the European Union, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu and from the Chinese government as well. Leaders from India’s neighbourhood and extended neighbourhood sent congratulatory messages. Presidents of Sri Lanka, Maldives, Iran, Seychelles and Prime Ministers of Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Mauritius sent their greetings. The Presidents of Nigeria, Kenya and Comoros have extended their congratulatory messages, while leaders of the Caribbean nations Jamaica, Barbados and Guyana have sent congratulations on securing the third-term. Leaders of G20 nations, like the Prime Ministers of Italy, Japan and President of South Korea have congratulated Shri Narendra Modi. US PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN

US President Joe Biden in a tweet congratulated PM Modi and said he will work with him to further strengthen India-US relations. “Congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the National Democratic Alliance on their victory, and the nearly 650 million voters in this historic election. The friendship between our nations is only growing as we unlock a shared future of unlimited potential,” Biden said in a tweet.

FRENCH PRESIDENT EMMANUEL MACRON

French President Emmanuel Macron also congratulated Shri Narendra Modi on securing the third-term as Prime Minister. “India has concluded the world’s largest elections! Congratulations Narendra Modi, my dear friend. Together we will continue strengthening the strategic partnership that unites India and France,” Mr. Macron said.

RUSSIAN PRESIDENT VLADIMIR PUTIN

The Kremlin said Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated PM Shri Narendra Modi on election results.

ISRAEL PM BENJAMIN NETANYAHU

Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu said, “I extend my warmest congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on being re-elected for a third consecutive term. May the friendship between India and Israel continue to surge towards new heights. Badhaai Ho”.

UKRAINE PRESIDENT VOLODYMYR ZELENSKYY

Welcoming the successful holding of the world’s largest democratic elections in India, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated PM Modi, the BJP, and the BJP-led NDA on the third consecutive victory in India’s parliamentary elections.
“I wish the people of India peace and prosperity, and I hope for continued cooperation between our countries. India and Ukraine share common values and a rich history. May our partnership continue to thrive, bringing progress and mutual understanding for our nations,” he said.

“Everyone in the world recognizes these significance and weight of India’s role in global affairs. It is critical that we all work together to ensure a just peace for all nations. In this regard, we also look forward to seeing India attend the Peace Summit,” he added.

ITALIAN PRIME MINISTER GIORGIA MELONI

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni congratulated Modi for winning a third consecutive term and said she will continue to work together with the Indian government to deepen ties between Italy and India. “Congratulations to Narendra Modi on the new electoral victory and my warmest wishes for good work. (It is) certain that we will continue to work together to strengthen the friendship that unites Italy and India and consolidate cooperation on the various issues that bind us, for the well-being of our nations and our peoples,” Meloni said.

PRESIDENT OF UAE MOHAMED BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN

The President Of UAE Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also congratulated PM Modi on his victory in a post on social media site X. “I congratulate my friend Narendra Modi on his victory in the recent elections, wishing him success in leading India towards further progress and development. I look forward to continuing to work together during the coming period to enhance strategic UAE-Indian relations and achieve our common development goals for the benefit of our two peoples,” he said.

SINGAPORE PM LAWRENCE WONG

The Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong also wished PM Modi. “Congratulations @narendramodi on the historic victory by the NDA for the third consecutive term. Look forward to working with you to deepen the Singapore-India partnership and to celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year,” Mr Lawrence Wong said.

BHUTAN’S PRIME MINISTER TSHERING TOBGAY

Bhutan’s Prime Minister Mr. Tshering Tobgay also congratulated Modi and NDA for the historic third consecutive win and said he looked forward to working closely with him.

“Congratulations to my friend PM @narendramodi ji and NDA for the historic 3rd consecutive win in the world’s biggest elections. As he continues to lead Bharat to great heights, I look forward to working closely with him to further strengthen the relations between our 2 countries,” Mr. Tshering Tobgay wrote on X.

NEPAL PRIME MINISTER ‘PRACHANDA’

Nepal Prime Minister ‘Prachanda’ congratulated his Indian counterpart on the electoral success of his party-led alliance. “Congratulations to PM @narendramodi on the electoral success of BJP and NDA in the Lok Sabha elections for the third consecutive term. We are happy to note the successful completion of the world’s largest democratic exercise with enthusiastic participation of the people of India,” he said in a post on X.

SRI LANKAN PRESIDENT WICKREMESINGHE

“I extend my warmest felicitations to the BJP-led NDA on its victory demonstrating the confidence of the Indian people in the progress and prosperity under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi,” the Sri Lankan president wrote on social media platform X. As the closest neighbour Sri Lanka looks forward to further strengthening the partnership with India, he added.

MALDIVES PRESIDENT MOHAMED MUIZZU

Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu also congratulated PM Modi. He said, “Congratulations to Prime Minister @narendramodi and the BJP and BJP-led NDA, on the success in the 2024 Indian General Election, for the third consecutive term. “I look forward to working together to advance our shared interests in pursuit of shared prosperity and stability for our two countries,” he said.
