Former BJP National Literature & Publication Cell Convenor and Kamal Sandesh Editorial Board Member Shri Amba Charan Vashishth passed away in Chandigarh on 26 April, 2023. He was 83. Shri Vashishth, originally belonged to Shimla, Himachal Pradesh and is survived by his son and daughter. He was a simple, gentle and spiritual person and was associated with various religious and social organizations. His last rites were performed at Chandigarh on 27 April, 2023.
Shri Vashishth, after completing his Master’s Degree from Punjab University, Chandigarh joined government service in Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh. During his service career, he adopted writing as a passion and intensified it in the post-retirement era. He was a freelance columnist, political observer & commentator in various English & Hindi national dailies and magazines.
In the post-retirement phase, Shri Vashishth joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Himachal Pradesh and became BJP Office Secretary. Later, he shifted to Delhi and joined as an Editorial Board Member of Kamal Sandesh. He became the Convenor of BJP National Literature & Publication Cell in 2008 and became the Consultant of NCERT, Government of India in 2015. He also authored and edited several books including ‘THE TRUTH ABOUT TEESTA SETALVAD’.
Shri Amba Charan Vashishth’s demise is an irreplaceable loss to his family, friends and well-wishers. Kamal Sandesh Parivar expresses its heartfelt condolences to the grief-stricken family and prays to God to grant his soul a place in heavenly abode.
