‘BASTI SAMPARK ABHIYAN’ Launched On ‘Sewa Pakhwada’

On the occasion of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s birthday on 17 September 2022, BJP National President Shri JP Nadda also inaugurated the ‘Basti Sampark Abhiyan’ organised by the BJP SC Morcha in Karol Bagh, New Delhi aiming to develop a greater connection with the people of Scheduled Castes (SC) and backward communities. Many leaders and party workers from 30 different places across the country belonging to the SC Morcha participated in this programme. Senior leaders of Delhi BJP were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the Karyakartas on the occasion the BJP National President said, “During the training session, I had appealed to connect with 75,000 slums and 7500 hostels. Today, Shri Lal Singh Arya and his team have started the Basti Sampark Abhiyan. I am happy that today, on the auspicious occasion of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s birthday, the BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha organized the ‘Basti Sampark Abhiyan’ in New Delhi. For this I thank all the organizers of the Morcha”.

People Are Our Strength

Prime Minister Shri Modi has said that ‘the people are our strength. Work for the people; work with the people, because big programs are possible only with public participation’. I have full faith that the Scheduled Caste Morcha will do this work well on the ground, will do it with full force and it is the work of Bharatiya Janata Party to take the welfare schemes of the government to every section and particularly to the people sitting on the last ladder of the society, Shri Nadda further added.

35 percent toilets built for SC community

He said that out of 11 crore toilets that have been built, 35 percent are for Scheduled Caste community people. Many political party leaders will give speeches that we have done this, done that for Dalits, but what good they did? In reality, nothing was done except for eating commissions from the welfare scheme of the SC community till the inception of Modi government.

Welfare schemes of the government

The BJP National President further talked about the core idea behind the party’s vision and their course of action regarding the welfare schemes of the government. “Since 1951, our journey has only been dedicated to the country and society. The ideals that were laid down by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya were taken forward by PM Shri Modi in the name of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’,” Shri Nadda said.
“In ‘Kisan Samman Nidhi’, almost 30 percent, in ‘Jal Jeevan’ 32 percent, in ‘PM Aawas’ 34 percent beneficiaries belong to the scheduled castes, Dalits, Adivasis only. Now, our Karyakartas have to act as bridges and ensure that all the welfare schemes of the government reach the most backward and downtrodden as well,” he added.

BJP President adopts TB Patients

The BJP National President also talked about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s achievements, vision and the recently launched mission against tuberculosis (TB). According to a report over 9.5 lakh tuberculosis patients have been adopted under the ‘Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’. This campaign aims to eliminate the disease five years ahead of the SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) target of 2030. Under this community support programme, tuberculosis patients can be adopted and cared for by an individual, elected representatives or institutions through Ni-kshay 2.0 portal. “Today, our party workers are arranging blood donation camps. While the rest of the world is talking about being free from TB by 2030 PM Modi wants to achieve the target by 2025 itself. A great initiative has been launched for the purpose of adopting TB patients. I have myself adopted 11 TB patients, serving the purpose,” Shri Nadda added further.
