Continuous activism required for a good Kisan Leader- Ramlal

Under Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Mahabhiyan BJP National Kisan Morcha organized its three-day (from 18 May to 20 May ) Prashikshan Programme in Gurugram. The Programme was attended by all national office bearers,states’ office bearers and national executive members of the Kisan Morcha. BJP National General Secretary (Organization) Shri Ramlal, Kisan Morcha National President Shri Virendra Singh Mast, Union Agriculture Minister Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Minister of State for Agriculture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Agriculture Minister of Haryana Shri Omprakash Dhankad, BJP National Vice President Shri Vinay Sahastrabudhe, BJP National General Secretaries Shri Bhupendra Yadav and Shri Anil Jain, National Joint General Secretary Shri Shiv Prakash, Training Deptt. Convener Shri Mahesh Chandra Sharma, Union minister of Steel Shri Chaudhary Birender Singh gave their margdarhsan in Prashikshan Programme.

Addressing the inaugural session National General Secretary (Oranization) Shri Ramlal said, The significance of this Prashikshan lies in practice in his/her behavior. Shri Ramlal emphasized on becoming a better farmer leader by acquiring expertise on at least one issues related to farmers. He added, Continuous activism on issues of farmers makes karykarta a good kisan leader.

Earlier Kisan Morcha National President Shri Virendra Singh Mast in his inaugural address said, The Union government has given priority to all those issues raised by Kisan Morcha to attract government’s attention. He added, This is the first government after independence which took every step in the interest of farmers. The government fulfilled all demands related to water conservation, soil testing, one and half times more MSP at total production cost, agri-insurance, renewable of bomboo mission etc. Now it is duty of Kisan Morcha’s Karyakartas to inform the people of all the initiatives taken by Modi government.

He said we should know that it is also first government after independence which has given 52% share of budget to rural sector.
Union Steel Minister Chaudhary Birendra Singh said in his address that the main reason behind problems of farmers is lesser growth in income of farmers in comparison to other occupation. He said in 1964-65 when first time MSP of wheat was declared by Government, then it was decided at 64 rupees per quintal and that time salary of a lecturer was Rs 240 per month . Today, MSP of wheat is Rs.1750 per quintal and salary of a lecturer is from one lakhs to 1.25 lakhs. So only 19teen times MSP of wheat hiked while average salary has increased by 60 times. He added, Inequality is curse for any society and with this curse any system can not run smoothly.

Minister of State for Agriculture Shri Gajendra Shekhawat described contracting tillage and declining ground water level as main challenges for agriculture. He advised farmers to quit traditional farming and adopt new methods of farming.

Joint General Secretary (Organization) Shri Shiv Prakash underlined the importance of organization. He said, Chandrashekhar and VP Singh also reached on pinnacle of power but lack of organization could not sustain them and they became irrelevant in politics. He said working style of any organization reflects in character of karykartas and organization is known by character of karykartas. So BJP’s karykartas have to become an example. Closing session of the Prashikshan Programme was addressed by organizational incharge of Kisan Morcha Shri Hridaynath Singh. He extensively guided karykartas on issues of farmers. The Programme was conducted by Kisan Morcha Vice President Shri Shailendra Sengar.
