On the completion of the Modi government’s eight successful years, BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed a press conference on 30 May 2022, saying that the successful eight years were for the country’s service, good governance, and welfare of the poor. He stated that the last eight years have seen the triumph of development, growth, and prosperity politics over casteism, nepotism, communalism, appeasement, and dynasty politics. The following are the highlights of the address:

‘MODI HAI TO MUMKIN HAI’

The Prime Minister has worked tirelessly to put the country on a fast track of growth while also ensuring the welfare and well-being of the poor and vulnerable segments of society. He has personally overseen the implementation of all schemes and programmes. This is why India is progressing so quickly, and India is now the world’s fastest-growing economy.

Service, good governance, and the welfare of the poor are not just words; they are the soul and base of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party government

Previously, there was a widespread belief that “nothing can be done in this country.” However, the Indian psyche has changed to ‘Modi hai to Mumkin hai’.

The eight-year journey is a transformational journey of the Indian thought process.
As the country commemorates ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal,’ the Prime Minister has faced all challenges head on and led the country from the front, which is remarkable and historic.

Previously, government schemes were formed on paper, implemented on paper, and remained on paper. However, when a scheme is announced by the Narendra Modi government, it is completed within the same regime and timeframe. The last eight years have been a journey of programmers and policies being developed on paper and implemented on the ground within the specified timeframe.

THE HALLMARK HAS BEEN INNOVATION

The last eight years have seen the triumph of development, growth, and prosperity politics over casteism, nepotism, communalism, appeasement, and dynasty politics.
The work culture of the Narendra Modi government and the Bharatiya Janata Party has been characterised by innovation. A special feature has been added to the NaMo App to showcase the achievements and highlights of the Narendra Modi Government’s last eight years, which people can see. This is interesting, engaging, progressive, and innovative.

Under the Prime Minister’s leadership and guidance, India has set new records in foreign affairs. For the first time, India’s foreign policy has been completely overhauled. Today, when India speaks to the world, the world listens.

NATION IS OUR TOP PRIORITY

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi delivered the 11th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi at Shimla’s historic Ridge ground. So far, the Modi government has disbursed over Rs 1.80 lakh crores to over 12 crore farmers across the country in ten installments.

Shri Modi has rescued the government system from policy paralysis imposed by the previous Congress party government, and he has transformed our bureaucracy, which previously did not make decisions. We now have a pro-responsive and proactive government that is deeply committed to last-mile delivery under the Narendra Modi government.

Now our guiding principle and philosophy are – Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas Sabka Prayas. Antyodaya, or the welfare and well-being of the poorest of the poor, is our goal. We believe in putting the country first. Nation is our number one priority.

THE POVERTY RATE HAS DECLINED

Over the last eight years, the poverty rate has fallen from 22 percent to below 10%, while extreme poverty has dropped below 1 percent and stabilized at 0.8 percent. Our per capita income and foreign reserves have also doubled under the Narendra Modi government.

India is breaking food grain production records. Our food grain production was 255 million tonnes in 2012-13, but it is now expected to exceed 316 million tonnes by 2021. This is a first since our country’s independence.

Despite difficult economic conditions caused by the Corona pandemic, we achieved record exports of $418 billion. In comparison to previous Congress-led governments, the Narendra Modi government has increased the agriculture budget by approximately 6 percent.

The Narendra Modi government is now focusing on ‘Ease of Living’ after ensuring ‘Ease of Doing Business.’

The amount of FDI investment received by India under the Narendra Modi government is approximately 65 percent greater than that received by the Congress-led UPA government. This is the transformation that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has brought to the country’s economy.

The revival of the Khadi industry was made possible by the Prime Minister’s clarion call, and the turnover surpassed Rs 1.15 lakh crores in one year. For the past two years, the Narendra Modi government has provided free rations to over 80 million people at a cost of over Rs 3.40 lakh crores.

Self-help groups, security at the workplace, permanent commission for women officers in the army, preference for Mudra loan, Beti Bacho Beti Padhao, Sukanya Samridhi, PM Samarth Yojna are some of the schemes introduced to empower our women and girls.

CULTURAL RESURGENCE IN INDIA

Eight years under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji have also seen India’s cultural renaissance. While Yoga and Ayurveda have captured the attention of the world, India’s lost cultural and religious icons have regained their glory, including the transformation of our holiest sites such as Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Baba Kedarnath Dham. The Bhavya Ram temple in Ayodhya is being built. It is only the beginning of India’s journey to reclaim its glorious past.

A NEW DAWN OF DEVELOPMENT HAS COME

In the Northeast region, a new dawn of development has come.Terrorism and separatism has been controlled and the people of the Northeast have got relief from blockades.
