Modi government has provided annual financial assistance of Rs 6000 to the farmers under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and the government is committed to provide continuous financial assistance to the farmers.

• Modi government will use state-of-the-art technology to ensure quick and accurate assessment of crop losses, timely payment and prompt resolution of farmers’ problems.
• Modi government will expand PM Matsya Sampada Yojana to increase fish production and seafood exports.
• Modi government will enrich farmers to make India self-reliant in the production of pulses (like arhar, urad, masoor, moong and gram) and edible oils (like mustard, soybean, sesame and groundnut).
• Modi government will encourage farmers to increase the production of nutritious vegetables by providing necessary agricultural inputs. Besides, new clusters will be established for the production of essential vegetables like onion, tomato, potato etc. and storage and distribution facilities will also be provided for them.
• Modi government has made an unprecedented increase in MSPs for major crops. The increase in MSP will be continued in a time bound manner.
• Based on the success of the International Year of Millets, we will promote Shree Anna (Millets) for food security, nutrition security and environmental protection and make India an international millet hub.
• Will ensure prompt and accurate assessment, timely payment and prompt problem resolution through technology. For this, Modi government will increase the insurance coverage by expanding the PM Matsya Sampada Yojana.
• Modi government has given global recognition to Shree Anna (Millet). Now Shree Anna will be established as a world superfood. Research and awareness will also be promoted to highlight the nutritional and health benefits of Shree Anna.
• Modi government will start a National Mission on Natural Farming, under which profitable farming, environmental protection and food and nutrition security will also be ensured.
• Modi government will launch an Agricultural Infrastructure Mission for coordinated implementation of integrated schemes of agricultural infrastructure like storage facilities, irrigation, grading and sorting units, cold storage facilities and food processing.
• Under PM Krishi Sinchai Yojana, irrigation capacity has increased by 25.5 lakh hectares. Modi government will expand irrigation capabilities with right use of technology for ‘Kuhl’ water management.
• Nano urea has a very important role in keeping agricultural land fertile, Modi government will further expand its use.
• Modi government will expand the network of Dewari cooperative societies in villages with fodder banks, milk testing laboratories, bulk milk fillers and milk processing facilities in 5 years.
• Modi government has upgraded KVKs to provide digital solutions to farmers. Now all Krishi Vigyan Kendras will be updated into one-stop centers for skill development.
• Modi government will develop production and processing clusters in sectors like fisheries etc. while paying special attention to the welfare of women of coastal communities.
• Sow-vod cultivation will be promoted under PM Matsya Samada Yojana to increase the income of fishermen.
• Modi government will increase production and productivity in the fisheries sector by establishing a network of nucleus boarding centers and wood banks.
• Modi government will start a special program of satellite imagery for the safety and other services of the fishermen community.
