Shri Krishna Gopal Lunani, from Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, joined the Bhartiya Janata Sangh in 1952, when he was fairly young. Since then, he has worked constantly to strengthen the party. He held numerous positions in BJS including Kakinada town Joint Secretary, District Secretary, District Treasurer, National Council Member. Shri Lunani participated in protests against emergency and was imprisoned in Rajahmundry central jail for 18 months under MISA. Shri Lunani served as District Secretary of Janata Party and then for BJP after its emergence in 1980.
