In the national portal for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), ‘Champions’, a register of grievances about finance, raw materials, labour, regulatory permissions etc. has started to gain traction since its launch.
- In a video conference meeting with the members of the Indian Business & Professional Council (IBPC) and stressing on the ease of doing business, Union Minister of MSME Shri Nitin Gadkari said the government is getting a good response from Champions portal.
- Shri Gadkari said in around five weeks since launch, the portal has resolved nearly 50,000 complaints filed by MSMEs.
- This indicated over 3X jump in the number of grievances resolved in the past 15 days.
- Shri Gadkari said in just three weeks’ time till the end of May, 20,461 grievances were received out of which 16,019 grievances have been resolved.
