During the event, Nagaland CM Shri Neiphiu Guolhoulie Rio, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Y. Patton, Shri T.R. Zeliang, BJP State President Shri Benjamin Yepthomi, BJP Nagaland Lok Sabha Candidate Dr. Chumben Murry and several other leaders were present. Shri Nadda underscored the collaborative efforts of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and CM Neiphiu Rio in fostering the development of Nagaland and integrating the state into the national mainstream. Shri Nadda criticized the opposition for their involvement in corruption and for neglecting the development of the Northeast region.

Shri Nadda expressed his delight to be in Nagaland, describing it as the land of the rising sun, rich culture, and tradition, known for its festivals and respect for humanity, and civilization. Shri Nadda praised the honesty, simplicity, strong character, and hard work of the Nagaland people.  Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda criticized that the Congress hindered the progress and prosperity of Nagaland with its approach ofGet the votes, and Forget the Public”. This neglectful strategy has resulted in the Congress party not holding a single seat in the State Legislative Assembly of Nagaland. This underscores the disillusionment of Nagaland’s populace with the Congress. Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda stated that under the leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi and Nagaland CM Shri Neiphiu Guolhoulie Rio, with the support of Deputy CM Shri Y. Patton and Deputy CM Shri T.R. Zeliang, Nagaland has transformed significantly. Shri Nadda emphasized PM Shri Narendra Modi’s vision for the Northeast, which extends beyond ‘Act East’ to envision the region as a gateway for South Asia and East Asia. Therefore, efforts will be made to enhance engagement in trade, tourism, and various other sectors.

Hon’ble National President highlighted the significant impact of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on India’s political landscape. He emphasized PM Shri Modi’s role in transforming the essence of Indian politics, reshaping its fabric, and revolutionizing the traditional paradigms of political thought and action. Shri Nadda remarked that during the Congress era, the meaning of the Northeast was ‘divide and rule’. However, under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi in the BJP-NDPP era, it has transformed into the PM DevINE Model; PRIME MINISTER’S DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE FOR NORTH EAST REGION. Hon’ble Prime Minister has allocated ₹6,600 crore for this scheme, which is entirely centrally funded. Shri Nadda emphasized that Delhi is not far from Kohima, nor is it distant from Dimapur or Manipur. That’s why PM Shri Narendra Modi emphasized “last mile delivery” and “last mile connectivity”. The development of Dimapur airport has facilitated flights to Delhi via Kolkata, reducing travel time to just two hours. Similarly, development work is underway at Kohima airport, ensuring last-mile delivery in every possible aspect. Shri Nadda highlighted that Nagaland is obtaining its second railway station after a century, the first one being established during the British colonial period. Similarly, Sikkim has acquired its inaugural airport, and Meghalaya has received its first railway station in 67 years. Manipur has welcomed its inaugural goods train. Furthermore, the Northeast is poised to receive a semi-high-speed railway train, showcasing substantial development in the region.

Shri Nadda emphasized that during the Congress regime, there was a policy of isolation and neglect for the North East. Under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi, Nagaland CM Shri Neiphiu Guolhoulie Rio has shifted towards a policy of decisiveness, doorstep delivery, and development. Shri Nadda further highlighted that while the Congress policy was to disregard the East, Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi advocated for ‘Act East, Act Fast, and Act First’. Shri Nadda underscored that PM Shri Narendra Modi has visited the Northeast 72 times, surpassing the combined visits of all previous Prime Ministers. Shri Nadda highlighted that PM Shri Narendra Modi has referred to the Northeast as ‘Ashtalakshmi’ and ‘Ashtaadhar’, symbolizing eight areas of progress: peace, power generation, tourism, 5G connectivity, development and preservation of culture, natural farming, sports, and enhancement of potential.
