Hon’ble National President of BJP, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed Vidwat Baithak in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on Monday. Shri Nadda emphasized the substantial developmental initiatives undertaken in the past 10 years under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. Before that Shri Nadda offered prayers at Kal Bhairav Mandir and Sankat Mochan Mandir in Varanasi and he wishing for the fulfillment of the resolve for a Viksit Bharat. During the prayers, Bharatiya Janata Party’s National media co-incharge Dr. Sanjay Mayukh was present. Addressing the media after the puja, Shri Nadda expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party will achieve a huge majority in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.

During Vidwat Baithak, Shri Nadda stated that working with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji is a matter of pride. Today, Hon’ble Prime Minister is a prominent figure on the world stage, and the origin and source of that personality is Kashi. 10 years ago, India was considered one of the corrupt nations and was not seen as a leading country. The most significant issue was the prevalent mindset among the common people that the political landscape in India was unchangeable. Indifference in public opinion poses a threat to democracy. However, over the past 10 years, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has instilled faith in the common people, leading us to progress on the path of ‘Viksit Bharat.’ In the past, politics was dominated by a divide and rule strategy based on religion, caste, and region, where politicians sought votes from everyone but, once in power, focused on benefiting only a specific group. Uttar Pradesh exemplified such tactics of caste-based appeasement. However, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has eradicated that culture and promoted development-focused politics with the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas’. These two political discourses explain the difference between the situation right now and 10 years ago. Today people believe that the nation is progressing forward and progressing with the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and 1 june 2024 is the day to lay foundation for that by blessing BJP.

Hon’ble BJP National President emphasized that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has clearly expressed that India will neither look up to anyone nor look down upon anyone, but will engage with all nations on an equal footing. Whether it’s the President of the United States or the President of China, India represents its 140 crore citizens and will interact with them at the same level. India’s representation spans across various international forums such as QUAD, BRICS, I2U2, G7, G20, and SCO, and it often receives invitations to represent at other global platforms as well. Reflecting on healthcare advancements, earlier timelines for vital vaccines and medicines to reach India were significantly prolonged. For instance, the Tetanus vaccine took 25 to 28 years, Diphtheria medicine took 30 years, Tuberculosis medicine took 30 years, and Japanese encephalitis medicine, developed in 1906 in Japan, arrived in India only in 2005, marking a delay of a century in its accessibility to Indian citizens. When the Covid-19 pandemic struck, it caught everyone off guard. Within a span of 9 months, India’s scientists developed two vaccines. The government swiftly distributed 220 crore doses to its 140 crore citizens, including booster doses, fortifying the nation against the pandemic. Notably, India’s vaccination certificates are digital, unlike the paper ones issued in some other countries like America. India’s vaccination campaign emerged as the world largest and fastest, with vaccines reaching 100 countries, and 48 nations receiving them free of cost.

Shri Nadda stated that today, India has become a country that gives rather than one that asks. America, Europe, and Australia were unable to decide whether life or humanity was more important and were confused about imposing lockdowns. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji imposed a one-day Janata curfew, determining India’s strength. While governments fought against Corona in other countries, in India, the entire nation fought alongside Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Ji. When India was ready, the lockdown was lifted and Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi declared, “Jaan Bhi Hai, Jahan Bhi”.

Hon’ble BJP National President stated that during the crisis time, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji announced a ₹25 lakh crore package. This package included 1 lakh crore rupees for farmers, support for the MSME sector and the Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana to provide rations for 80 crore people. While other countries focused on providing cash, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji emphasized empowerment instead. Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi Ji conveyed, “Aapada, Avsar Bhi Hai” and aimed to empower farmers, MSMEs and ordinary citizens. As a result, today, while the economies of America, Europe and Japan are struggling, India has risen from the 11th to the 5th largest economy under Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s leadership. Both Morgan Stanley and the IMF acknowledge that if there is a ray of hope, it is India. With the public’s blessings, when Shri Narendra Modi becomes Prime Minister for the third time, India will become the third largest economy.

Shri Nadda highlighted that presently, India ranks second globally in pharmaceuticals, offering the most affordable and potent medicines. India’s pharmaceutical exports have surged by 136%. Likewise, the export of chemicals from India has seen a remarkable growth of 106%. Furthermore, India has emerged as the world’s third-largest automobile market. Whenever India harnesses its full potential, it sets world records. Just a decade ago, mobile phones used to bear labels like ‘Made in China’, ‘Made in Taiwan’, ‘Made in Japan’, or ‘Made in Korea’. Now, they proudly display ‘Made in India’, with 97% of mobile phones being manufactured in the country.

Hon’ble BJP National President pointed out that a decade ago, after delivering speeches in India, leaders from any country would diplomatically use terms that invariably mentioned both India and Pakistan. However, today, no global leader discusses Pakistan in relation to India. During Manmohan Singh’s visits to Washington, he would recount tales of terrorists and enumerate threats. In contrast, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has asserted that there is no imminent danger, India is adept at handling its affairs. From conducting surgical strikes and airstrikes to now taking action within Pakistan’s borders, India demonstrates its resolve.

Shri Nadda highlighted that today, when Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji visits, he not only receives invitations as a state guest but also special invitations to the White House. The discussions have shifted from Pakistan and terrorism to India’s contributions in semiconductor technology and space research. Amidst the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji reiterated the principle of ‘nation first’ and India’s stance remained firm.

Hon’ble BJP National President highlighted that if there has been empowerment of villages, the poor, marginalized, oppressed, disadvantaged, youth, farmers and women, it has only been under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. Today, optical fiber has been extended to 2 lakh panchayats and common service centers are operational in 2 lakh villages. Congress and SP claimed that India, being illiterate, had no use for digital technology. However, due to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s understanding of India’s potential, even vegetable vendors now use UPI transactions. Today, India accounts for 40% of the world’s digital transactions.

Shri Nadda mentioned that through the PM Gramin Sadak Yojana, lakhs of kilometers of roads have been built, linking every village with paved roads. Out of the 80 crore individuals, including 5 crore 70 lakh people from Uttar Pradesh, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji ensures the monthly distribution of 5 kg of wheat or rice and 1 kg of pulses. Consequently, 25 crore people in India have been lifted above the poverty line. According to the IMF, India’s extreme poverty rate is now less than 1%.

Hon’ble BJP National President highlighted that in the past, the Indira Awas Yojana provided just two houses per panchayat. Now, each panchayat is witnessing the construction of 50 to 100 houses, resulting in 4 crore pucca houses nationwide. With the ongoing support of the people, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji aims to construct an additional 3 crore houses. In the near future, cylinders will become obsolete as affordable piped gas reaches homes directly.

Shri Nadda mentioned that in the near future, through the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, people’s electricity bills will become zero. Solar panels will be installed on every household’s roof to generate electricity, with any excess power being sent back to the grid, for which individuals will be compensated. Under the Ujjwala Yojana, 10 gas cylinders have been provided to each household. When Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji spoke about cleanliness from the Red Fort, Congress mocked him. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has ensured the dignity of 12 women by granting them the right to live respectfully, a principle he has integrated into the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. This initiative has been acknowledged by the UN and the Secretary-General visited Delhi and honored Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendr Modi.

Hon’ble BJP National President mentioned that under Ayushman Bharat, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has extended health coverage of 5 lakh rupees annually to 10 crore 74 lakh families, benefiting 50 crore individuals, including the impoverished. As Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji will secure a third term, individuals aged 70 and above, irrespective of caste or religion, will receive the same ₹5 lakh annual coverage under Ayushman Bharat.

Shri Nadda emphasized that 55 thousand kilometers of national highways have been constructed, facilitating four-lane and six-lane economic corridors in every state. Under Amrit Bharat, railway stations are being rebuilt to resemble airports. ₹10 lakh crore has been spent on infrastructure in just one year, creating employment opportunities. However, questions about unemployment still persist among the people. Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision has propelled India towards progress, leading to an increase in GDP. Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi Ji is guiding the nation forward with the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas’.
