Hon’ble Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed an intellectual meeting in Shivamogga Karnataka on Tuesday. Shri Nadda emphasized the developmental initiatives undertaken by PM Shri Narendra Modi’s government, while simultaneously criticizing the opposition for engaging in divisive tactics. During the event, former Karnataka CM and senior BJP leader Shri BS Yediyurappa, Shivamogga Lok Sabha candidate Shri BY Raghavendra, among other leaders were present.

Shri Nadda lauded the contributions of Shri BS Yediyurappa, highlighting his leadership and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people. The party finds inspiration in his dedication to societal progress. While the Bharatiya Janata Party, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, continues to lead India towards growth and development, the INDI Alliance lacks direction and resorts to divisive tactics, as observed in their north-south rhetoric. PM Shri Narendra Modi advocates for inclusive development with his mantra of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas’, while the INDI Alliance indulges in divisive politics. Encouraging such tactics goes against the principles of unity in diversity that PM Modi upholds. Recently, a Congress MP from Karnataka even advocated for the state’s separation, which undermines the unity of the nation. PM Shri Narendra Modi believes in respecting diversity and regional aspirations while striving to unite the country. The statue of ‘Nadaprabhu’ KempeGowda in Bangalore stands as a testament to his remarkable contributions, and it is essential for the nation to recognize and appreciate them. PM Shri Narendra Modi quoted Dattātreya Rāmachandra Bēndre’s poetry in Mann Ki Baat, which makes the people understand that the national poets are being recognized on the national level. Be it on the national level or international level, the country has undergone a sea change. In the past 10 years, the country has undergone a significant transformation. During the times of the UPA government, there was a trust deficit between the people and the government. The political discourse was extremely negative, and people were certain that the scenario would not change, believing that politicians would only care for themselves and not the country. However, under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi the country has aspired to become a developed nation.

Hon’ble BJP National President highlighted the significant transformation India has undergone in the past decade, particularly in its global standing. India’s presence and influence at various international forums such as G7, G20, QUAD, and BRICS have notably increased. Under PM Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership, India’s relations with neighboring countries have seen a positive shift. PM Shri Narendra Modi’s visit to Nepal marked the first time an Indian Prime Minister had visited the country in 17 years. Similarly, his visit to Sri Lanka was the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 28 years. These visits underscored India’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with its neighboring countries and revitalizing diplomatic ties in the region. Additionally, PM Modi’s extensive diplomatic outreach, with visits to over 60 countries, has amplified India’s voice on the global stage, ensuring its perspectives are heard worldwide. PM Shri Narendra Modi has changed the political culture of the country. 10 years back, politics was based on caste, region and religion, however, PM Shri Narendra Modi works under the ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas’ policy. PM Shri Narendra Modi has begun politics of development, politics of accountability and politics of report card. The party works on a motive that ‘What we say we did, what we did not say we also did that’.

Shri Nadda stated that Shri BS Yediyurappa’s focus on development in Karnataka contrasts with Siddaramaiah’s purported engagement in divisive politics, highlighting a significant difference for the public to discern. Despite challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict affecting the economies of major countries like the USA, Japan, China, and Russia, India emerged as a ‘Bright Spot’ in terms of economic recovery. Notably, India’s economy has ascended from the 11th position before 2014 to become the fifth largest globally, surpassing Britain. Projections suggest that India is on track to become the third-largest economy by 2026-2027. Additionally, India has emerged as a leading provider of medical supplies globally, with a remarkable 138% increase in medical exports. The country’s pharmaceutical sector produces cost-effective medicines, contributing significantly to global healthcare. Furthermore, India has witnessed notable growth in petrochemical exports, recording a 106% increase, while toy industry exports have tripled. These achievements underscore India’s growing stature and economic resilience on the global stage. India has become the third-largest Automobile market in the world leaving Japan behind. India became the second-largest steel manufacturer in the world. PM Shri Narendra Modi has committed that the Central government will prioritize the upliftment of the poor, youth, farmers, villages, women empowerment, and marginalized communities. The party has launched numerous initiatives aimed at uplifting every section of society and ensuring their integration into the mainstream. Notably, 25 crore people have been lifted above the poverty line, and extreme poverty in India has decreased to less than 1%, according to the IMF. These efforts demonstrate the government’s dedication to fostering inclusive growth and development across the nation. Under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, the 11 crore 78 Lakh farmers received Rs 2000 per four months in their bank accounts. More than ₹2 Lakh crore has been transferred into the bank accounts of the farmers. Under the Ujjwala Yojana, 10 LPG connections have been provided. More than 12 crore toilets have been constructed by our government ensuring a dignified life for the women. During the COVID period, every Jan Dhan account holder women received Rs 500 from the government and PM Shri Narendra Modi has decided to make 3 crore women ‘Lakhpati Didi’

Respected BJP National President mentioned that during his tenure as Health Minister, he witnessed the financial struggles of the poor when dealing with serious illnesses. PM Shri Narendra Modi has started the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, under this scheme, 10 crore 74 lakh families i.e. 55 crore impoverished individuals received annual financial assistance of ₹5 lakh for the treatment of severe illnesses. After the third term of the BJP government, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has pledged to provide healthcare benefits worth ₹5 lakh to every individual aged 70 and above, regardless of their caste, religion, or income level. Under the BJP government, farmers, women, youth, deprived and marginalized sections of society, as well as other individuals, have experienced empowerment. Karnataka CM K. Siddaramaiah consistently lamented about Karnataka not receiving its rightful share. However, he is unlikely to receive what he expects because he prioritizes commission over mission, which he is unlikely to attain. There is a rise of 275% from the UPA era as far as allocating funds for the development of Karnataka is concerned. For infrastructure development, 30 thousand crore rupees are being invested in railways, with an additional 8 thousand crore rupees spent on the Bangalore-Mysore expressway. Furthermore, a budget of ₹15,767 crore has been allocated for the Bangalore suburban railway project. Additionally, under the Bharatmala project, 614 kilometers of highways have been constructed. The Shivamogga airport stands as a testament to Karnataka’s development, with an allocation of ₹450 crore. Furthermore, ₹5000 crore have been earmarked for the Bangalore airport. In terms of urban development and smart cities, Shivamogga, Mangaluru, Bengaluru, Hubli, Dharwad, Davangere, and Belagavi have all been included, with over ₹14 thousand crore allocated for smart city projects. For irrigation development, ₹5000 crore rupees have been allocated for the Upper Krishna project and ₹1000 crore for the Kalasa Banduri project. In Vijaypur, green airfield airports are under construction. An amount of ₹5000 crores has been spent on the terminal building of Bengaluru airport. Additionally, foundation stones have been laid for the terminal buildings of the Hubli and Belgaum airports.

Shri Nadda emphasized that Karnataka has become a helicopter manufacturing hub. The state is leading in aviation, and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has shown special preference for Karnataka’s development. In Shivamogga, ₹1403 crore have been allocated for seven irrigation scheme projects. Additionally, the Malang region and Shivamogga are part of the Shikaripura railway line project.

Hon’ble BJP National President emphasized the opposition’s agenda of protecting corrupt leaders, contrasting it with PM Shri Narendra Modi’s focus on development. He criticized the divisive nature of opposition politics, especially their use of deep fake videos on social media to spread false information about the NDA government’s intentions regarding reservations. This deceitful tactic undermines trust in politicians. The people of India are aware of the divisive agenda of the INDI Alliance, which has been further exposed by media reports. The distressing and concerning aspect is that the deepfake video was uploaded by Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, as confirmed by investigations. The INDI Alliance is collectively attempting to make the video go viral. These politicians resorting to creating deepfake videos are evidently anxious because they are aware that Shri Narendra Modi will become Prime Minister by securing over 400 seats. The deep fake video exposes the deplorable and divisive mentality of Congress and INDI Alliance leaders. Additionally, the Siddaramaiah government in Karnataka implemented a 4% reservation for Muslims, deducted from the OBC quota. It highlights that Congress is neither sympathetic to Muslims nor OBCs. In undivided Andhra Pradesh, they attempted to allocate reservations meant for SC/ST and OBCs to Muslims. However, the Constitution clearly states that there should be no reservation based on religion. Shri Nadda commended Shri BY Raghvendra for being an articulate speaker in Parliament and consistently advocating for the state’s development. The public should support Shri Raghvendra and ensure Shivamogga’s contribution to achieving the ‘400 Paar’ goal.
