Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh addressed a public meeting in Gautam Buddha Nagar in Noida on Tuesday. During the event, Lok Sabha candidate from Gautam Buddha Nagar Shri Mahesh Sharma, District President Shri Satyendra Sisodia, Bulandshahar district President Shri Vikas Chauhan  and other leaders were present. Shri Rajnath Singh praised the collaborative efforts of PM Shri Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh CM Shri Yogi Adityanath in addressing the law and order issues in the state and working for its development. He criticized the Congress for misleading the nation and indulging in divisive Hindu-Muslim appeasement politics.

Shri Singh expressed his homage to the late Meghnad Singh and highlighted his contributions in his life. He stated that Noida was the epicenter of corruption in the previous government, but today, under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh CM Shri Yogi Adityanath, Noida has emerged as the ‘Business center of India’. Earlier, the state was under mafia rule, and people used to migrate from the state, but under the double-engine government, this trend has become history.

Describing the benefits of double engine government, Shri Singh remarked that today, not just Uttar Pradesh but the entire country considers Noida as a destination for tourism and law enforcement. Under the leadership of UP CM Shri Yogi Adityanath, Noida is not just known for its religious events record, but also for the significant investments pouring in from all corners of India and the world, as well as its well-maintained expressways, making it a preferred choice for better law and order. Shri Singh highlighted the commitment of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and UP CM Shri Yogi Adityanath to build a major airport on Jewar’s land, which has now begun progressing rapidly.

Shri Singh emphasized that Uttar Pradesh, once considered among the poorest states, can now boast significant progress under the double engine government, with its economy expected to reach a size of 1 trillion dollars in just a few years. This achievement, constituting a fifth of the entire economy, is substantial and indicative of Uttar Pradesh’s potential. Shri Rajnath Singh also pointed out the familiar pattern of political parties making promises before elections and forgetting them afterward, contrasting this with BJP’s commitment to fulfilling its pledges. Shri Rajnath Singh urged anyone skeptical of BJP’s promises to review their electoral manifestos, emphasizing BJP’s track record of delivering on its commitments.

Referring to Modi Guarantee, Mr. Singh emphasized that since 1951, when BJP was working under the banner of Bharatiya Jan Sangh, it had pledged to abolish Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir once it gained a clear majority in both houses of Parliament, and it fulfilled this promise. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted that BJP had declared since 1984 that upon forming the central government, a magnificent Ram temple would be constructed in Ayodhya. Despite opposition skepticism, the temple construction was completed, evident in the inauguration of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Shri Ram on January 22nd, led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, showcasing BJP’s commitment.

Shri Singh expressed the belief that Shri Ram has now left his temporary dwelling and entered his grand abode, symbolizing the establishment of Ram Rajya in India. Shri Rajnath Singh explained that while Ram Rajya arrives when individuals possess a sense of duty and responsibility, it cannot be established if there’s a sense of entitlement. Shri Rajnath Singh cited the example of Kaikeyi, whose sense of entitlement led to Maryada Purushottam Shri  Ram’s exile, but Shri Ram, the epitome of virtue, accepted the decision graciously, upholding the principles of righteousness.

Hon’ble Unoin Minister Shri Singh reiterated the BJP’s commitment to nation-building, emphasizing the party’s fulfillment of promises, including the abolition of Triple Talaq. He dismissed accusations of the BJP engaging in Hindu-Muslim politics, asserting that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi works for the welfare of all religions. Singh underscored that the BJP’s political agenda is centered on serving the nation rather than seeking power for its own sake.

Attacking the appeasement politics of Congress, Mr. Singh said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s reference to the Congress’s manifesto promise regarding the survey of assets, raising concerns about potential division of the nation’s resources by the Congress. He criticized statements made by former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, alleging that they prioritized resources for Muslim minorities over others. Shri Singh stated that everyone should have equal rights to the resources of the country. The same Congress government made several commissions; the commission reports highlighted that out of 27% OBC reservation, 6% reservation should be for Muslims and 2% for minorities. The commission also highlighted that if a person from Schedule Caste changes his religion, he would not be exempted from the reservation. The Congress also ended reservation for SC/ST in Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh University. Shri Singh mentioned that the BJP does not work to divide Hindu-Muslim, but the government believes in inclusive development and making the country developed on a global scale.

Criticizing the conspiracy by Indi Alliance to weaken constitutional institutions, Shri Singh said that the BJP Surat candidate won unopposed, marking the victorious journey of the BJP. However, the Congress and other opposition parties stated that it is a threat to democracy. Shri Singh suggested that instead of misleading the public, the Congress should focus on the benefits of the public. He highlighted the irony that during Congress rule, if their candidates won unopposed, democracy was considered strong, but when a BJP candidate won, it was considered a threat to democracy. In the 2012 Kannauj Byelection, Dimple Yadav won unopposed, and then Congress, SP, and BSP did not questioned the victory. Shri Singh mentioned that today, India is developing at a rapid pace. During the previous government, when India was represented on the global stage, no country paid attention to our thoughts, but today the world listens carefully to what India speaks.

Shri Singh pointed out that back in 2014, India held the 10th position in the global economy rankings. However, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, within just 7 years, India has ascended to become the world’s 5th largest economy. Renowned financial institutions globally acknowledge India as the fastest-growing economy. It’s anticipated that by 2027, India will further climb to become the third-largest economy worldwide. Shri Singh questioned the opposition’s stance, asking whether they are uncomfortable with India’s rising prominence on the global stage. While the opposition has the right to critique the government, it’s equally important for them to acknowledge and commend the government’s beneficial initiatives.

Shri Singh highlighted that a conflict had been ongoing between Russia and Ukraine for two years, during which missiles, artillery, and bombs were being exchanged, resulting in casualties on both sides. Concerned about the safety of 22,000 Indian students studying in the region, their parents approached Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, urging for their evacuation. Without delay, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi engaged with Russian President and Ukrainian President successfully negotiating a temporary ceasefire of four hours, allowing the Indian students to return home safely.

Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Singh addressed the opposition’s accusation of BJP dividing the nation, asserting that if India has received the highest honor from five Arab Muslim countries, it’s a recognition of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership. As the Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh noted the significant progress in India’s defence capabilities, from not manufacturing fighter aircraft previously to now producing missiles and aircraft domestically. Shri Rajnath Singh highlighted that India has exported defence equipment worth over 21,000 crore to other countries, demonstrating the nation’s strength and self-sufficiency in defence production.

Shri Singh appealed, stating that Dr. Mahesh Sharma has contributed significantly to the development of Noida and tirelessly worked for the progress of his Gautam Buddha Nagar constituency. Therefore, he emphasized the need to re-elect Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the goal should be to determine who can elevate India’s status globally as Prime Minister, with this aim, Dr. Mahesh Sharma should be elected by the people of Noida with more than 500,000 votes, rather than just 200,000 or 300,000 votes.
