The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda on Wednesday released the party’s manifesto in Shillong for the upcoming Meghalaya Assembly election which is scheduled to be held on February 27, 2023. He said that the people of the state are ready to bring the BJP government in Meghalaya. BJP Meghalaya President Shri Ernest Mowry, party national secretary and BJP co-incharge of North-East region Shri Rituraj Sinha, BJP Meghalaya Vision Document Committee Chairman Shri SanaborShullai and Meghalaya BJP Election Management Committee Chairman Shri Alexander LalooHek along with senior leaders and office bearers were present in the event.
Shri Nadda said, Meghalaya is a beautiful state and it has a lot of potential. I find that there is a competition of development among the Northeastern states after Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi ji came into power but Meghalaya is marred by corruption. I am glad to be present here and present the manifesto for Meghalaya. Meghalaya is a State rich in culture and traditions. There is a great scope for the State to prosper, and we look forward to take it to the new heights under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, he further added.
The Hon’ble BJP National President said that we have named our Vision Document as ‘Empower Meghalaya’ and we have emphasized ‘M’ in bold letters that depict ‘Modi for Meghalaya’. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has established peace, prosperity and development in all the states of the North-East including Meghalaya. But we think there is a lot of scope to be done for Meghalaya. There is competition among the Northeastern States for development, and Meghalaya also is trying to cope-up with it. Notably, here, corruption has been an issue that has been a hindrance in the development of the State. We want to make Meghalaya a corruption-free state. We need a strong Meghalaya and it is possible with only a strong BJP. To achieve this, we have to think big. Speed, Scaleand Skill – are three aspects that have to be managed well. We have to visualize big for the State – we aspire for a ‘Mega Meghalaya’.

We, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji believe in the report card culture. We always fulfill what we say in our Vision Document. No other party remembers the old report card and its promises. It is only the Bharatiya Janata Party which delivers whatever it says and promises.
