‘North-East is Becoming The New Engine of India’s Development’

BJP National President’s Nagaland Pravas

The National President of Bharatiya Janata Party Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda in a two-day Pravas arrived in Dimapur, Nagaland on 15 September, 2022. During his visit, Shri Nadda took part in various important programmes and reviewed the party’s ongoing activities in the state. After his arrival the party leaders and karyakartas accorded him a warm welcome in the Airport. Shri Nadda addressed a public rally in Wokha. After the public meeting, he proceeded to Kohima where he chaired a meeting with the state office bearers’. On the second day, BJP National President visited the AO Baptist Church and Cathedral Catholic Church in Kohima. Shri Nadda also interacted with intellectuals and professionals at the Police Complex in Dimapur and chaired the State BJP Core committee meeting in Dimapur.

Public rally in Old Riphyim, Wokha

The BJP National President addressed a public rally at GMS ground in Wokha and appealed to the people of Nagaland to bring back the NDA government once again for peace, prosperity and development. Shri Nadda also paid rich tributes to freedom fighters of Nagaland who fought against the Britishers to protect the native people. Highlights of his address:

• We also remember that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose established the first Azad Hind Administered Village in Naga Hills in Ruzasho village.
• Nagaland is a home of 16 tribes and all the 16 tribes have been fighting to restore, to conserve the culture of Nagaland. We are also grateful to the present tribal leaders of Nagaland who are also protecting the tribal culture.
• If anyone has truly recognised the problems and issues of our Tribal society and seriously addressed their issues, it is Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
• Under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi, the North-East in ‘New India’ is becoming the new engine of India’s development. A plan has been prepared to revive the development of the North-East on the basis of ‘Highway, Railway, Waterway, Airway and I-way’.
• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has changed the ‘Look East’ policy to ‘Act East’ policy.
• The Modi Government is committed to making the North East an economic hub connecting Southeast Asia under the Act East Policy.
• Under the double engine government of the NDA, Nagaland is now strongly moving ahead towards peace and prosperity.
