People Overwhelmingly Supporting Vision Of An ‘Aatmanirbhar Bihar’

As the sounding of the poll bugle in Bihar has initiated the democratic process in the state, people are expressing their overwhelming support to NDA candidates in the ongoing campaign for assembly elections. The NDA government in Bihar under the leadership of the chief minister Shri Ntitsh Kumar is credited for ending the 15-year long ‘Jungle raj’ of Lalu Yadav regime and for heralding an era of peace, progress, good governance and development. In the last 15-year of NDA rule, Bihar witnessed all round development as it was rescued from the clutches of corruption, crime, casteism, misrule, open suppression of democratic voices and anti-development and regressive policies. The state has many achievements which can be felt by the people who are experiencing change in governance, work culture, development and restoration of law and order in the state. The state is marching on the path of rapid progress while recording its achievements on various parameters of growth and development kindling new hope for the future.

The people of Bihar will never forget the 15-year long ‘Jungle raj’ of RJD regime which still lurks in the memory of people as a nightmare. But it seems that RJD has failed to take lessons from its past misdeeds as it has aligned itself with the forces which are not only anti-democratic but believe in anarchy and violence. Its alliance with Communist parties is a warning signal for the peace loving people of state about the things to come in future. The coming together of ‘goonda culture’ of RJD and ‘gun culture’ of communists may create havoc for the people of Bihar pushing the state to a period of anarchy and violence. At the same time, while RJD represents the worst form of dynastic politics, it has found a natural ally in Congress which instead of democracy believes in dynasty of one family. In fact the coming together of RJD, Congress and Communists signify the alliance of regressive forces whose only aim is to somehow grab power to serve the family and their vested interests in politics. Such alliance can never succeed in a state like Bihar having a glorious history of giving the message of democracy and nationalism to the entire world.

If one tries to compare the achievements of last 15-year of NDA rule with the performance of Lalu regime, the real picture of Bihar’s achievements during NDA rule emerges. The GDP growth rate of the state has increased from a meagre 3.19% to more than 11% in the last 15 years of NDA rule with agriculture registering a growth from 2.35% to 8.50%. The per capita income has also leaped from only Rs. 8,000/- to Rs. 43,822/- now. While Bihar has witnessed 100% electrification, 96% of its roads have been made pucca during NDA rule. The state has not only seen a whopping agricultural growth but the industrial development at 17% is extremely remarkable by any standard. Apart from these incredible achievements, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has always held Bihar close to his heart and gave special attention for its growth and development. While implementing his vision for the state, he not only gave a special package of Rs.1.25 lakh crore but also gave additional assistance of Rs.40,000 crore for development of the state. It is resulting in building of top class infrastructure for Bihar which will create new growth stories for the state in the days to come.

While taking inspiration from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call for an ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, BJP has committed itself to make an ‘Aatmanirbhar Bihar’. The people are supporting this vision of self-reliance overwhelmingly everywhere in the state sensing which BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda has rightly observed that people of Bihar have already made up their minds to vote NDA into power again. As Bihar resolves to continue to tread on the path of peace, progress, good governance and development, people are reiterating their support to NDA and coming out overwhelmingly for building an ‘Aatmanirbhar Bihar’.
