Political Resolution
The Political Resolution was moved by Union Minister of Law and Justice Shri Kiren Rijiju at the BJP National Executive Committee Meeting in New Delhi on January 16, 2023. This resolution was seconded by the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya and Minister of Medium Irrigation and Water Resources of Karnataka Shri Govind Karjol. The Political Resolution highlighted that under the dynamic leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the image of India has been established on various global forums as a decisive, far-sighted, protector of the world’s future and a strong nation. The National Executive also emphatically salutes the Prime Minister who has accelerated the pace of national progress, served as a flag bearer of India and Indianness on international forums, and given ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ new found significance. Under the able leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the image of India has been established on various global forums as a decisive, far-sighted, protector of the world’s future and a strong nation. The whole world has become aware of India’s strength and capabilities during the Corona crisis and the Russia-Ukraine war. India has emerged as a leading country to give direction to the world when it comes to protection of humanity and conservation of environment and nature. The chairmanship of prestigious international organizations like G-20 and SCO, which India got under the leadership of respected Prime Minister, has started a new chapter in the history of the country. The National Executive of the Bharatiya Janata Party congratulates its supreme leader and not only the country’s but also the world’s most popular leader, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Assembly Elections and Bye-Elections – All Indians are so deeply connected with the pro-poor welfare policies and innovative vision of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, that ‘Modi Magic’ shattered all the records of victory in Gujarat. The BJP’s victory in Gujarat under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was so overwhelming that the party which stood second in these elections could not have enough seats to even get the status of the main opposition party. Such a massive defeat of the opposition has never happened before these polls in Gujarat. Under the Chief Ministership of Shri Modi for 20 years and now under his Prime Ministership Gujarat has been established as a Pro-Governance state due to its persistent focus on all-inclusive development.
Under the successful leadership of the respected Prime Minister, the word ‘anti-incumbency’ is no longer used for the BJP, but in our context now ‘pro-incumbency’ is the buzzword. If the policy is correct, the leadership is good and the intention is to work for the public, then words like ‘anti-incumbency’ become meaningless. There should be a research on how a pro-poor welfare government makes its place in the hearts of the people and returns every time with a bigger majority than before. Out of 182 seats, victory in 156 seats has been possible due to the untiring hard work, dedication and development of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The National Executive congratulates Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for this grand victory.
The BJP won 156 out of 182 seats with 53% vote share in the Gujarat elections, which is the most unmatched performance ever in the electoral history of Gujarat. Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi himself went ahead like a booth worker and heightened the benchmark of hard work. Under his leadership, everyone worked keeping the party first and self last, on the basis of which Gujarat brought a victory for the BJP, which would be almost impossible for any other party to repeat. Respected Prime Minister paved the way for this unprecedented victory by giving the message of ‘organisation is paramount’. Under his guidance, the government in Gujarat under the leadership of Shri Bhupendra Patel ji and the organization under the leadership of Shri CR Patil ji unitedly wrote the script of this historic victory. The National Executive also congratulates the Chief Minister Shri. Bhupendra Patel and Gujarat state BJP President Shri CR Patil and all the office bearers and workers of the party. At the same time, the National Executive also congratulates and thanks the great people of Gujarat for their unprecedented support to the BJP.
Participation of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the Gujarat Election Campaign – In the Gujarat Legislative Assembly elections, Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, like a true soldier of the party, led the party from the front in the entire election campaign and did about 32 rallies and
Out of 40 reserved seats in Gujarat, BJP got the grand victory in 34 seats. In these polls, 23 out of 27 seats in tribal areas were bagged by the BJP
4 road shows. He changed the whole atmosphere of the campaign with his rallies and road shows. Respected Prime Minister also did the biggest road show of 50 km in Ahmedabad which passed through all the assembly constituencies of Ahmedabad. This time, when the bugle of Gujarat Assembly elections sounded, doubts were raised as to how the BJP would win, but as soon as the respected Prime Minister started his campaign in Gujarat, there was a tremendous wave in favor of the BJP, and the workers converted this tsunami of trust into votes.
BJP got support from all sections of people in Gujarat – Out of 40 reserved seats in Gujarat, BJP got the grand victory in 34 seats. In these polls, 23 out of 27 seats in tribal areas were bagged by the BJP; the party also won 11 seats out of 13 seats reserved for SCs. It is worth noting here that in the 2017 assembly elections, BJP got only 8 out of 27 seats in the tribal areas, while we could get only 7 seats out of 13 seats reserved for SCs. The BJP got almost double the votes than the second-placed party. Under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the BJP got 86% seats in any state for the first time. In Saurashtra, the BJP has achieved its biggest victory so far. Last time BJP won 23 seats and Congress won 30 seats in Saurashtra-Kutch region. This time BJP has won a record 46 seats. In North Gujarat too, BJP has won 22 out of 32 seats. The BJP won 79 of the 98 seats in rural areas. In Gujarat, 53 assembly seats are in urban areas, out of which BJP won 49 seats. Lotus blossomed in 64 out of 75 OBC-dominated seats in Gujarat.
In Gujarat, the BJP had never received more than 50% of the votes so far, while in this election, the BJP got about 53.33% of the votes, which is the highest in terms of percentage of votes received by any party in Gujarat so far. Despite being in the government for 27 consecutive years, the increase in the vote percentage of BJP and getting more than 50% votes shows how much respect people of Gujarat have for Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and how much faith they have in his leadership. BJP got 19 out of 21 seats in Ahmedabad and all 16 seats in Surat. Along with this, the lotus blossomed in all the assembly seats in Amreli, Bharuch, Kheda, Rajkot, Valsad, Gandhi Nagar, Chhota Udaipur, Dahod, Kutch, Morbi, Panchmahal, Surendranagar Dwarka. BJP won 9 out of 10 seats in Vadodara. Last time BJP got 49% votes, which has increased by more than 3% this time.
It is not that the BJP candidates won by a small margin. Many of our candidates have won with huge margins of one lakh, 75 thousand, 50 thousand, 40 thousand. The margin of victory from one lakh matters a lot in the Lok Sabha elections too, but in the Vidhansabha elections also, our candidates won in 11 seats with more than 1 lakh votes, in 40 seats with votes between 50 thousand and 1 lakh. The BJP’s work in Gujarat, especially the new dimensions of peace, development, security, 24-hour electricity, water in every house, communal harmony and education – all were heartily accepted by the people of Gujarat and they blessed us.

A crushing defeat of the negative politics of the opposition – The people of Gujarat have given the BJP an opportunity to serve for the 7th time in a row. This vote percentage is a symbol of people’s trust. The public has served crushing defeat and demoralized the typical ‘advertisers’ making big claims. Those who used to talk about ‘under current’ and who used to claim majority via media, it became clear to them after the results that Gujarat does not trust such selfish and arrogant people and liars. BJP’s stupendous victory in Gujarat is a victory for development and a defeat for those relying only on ‘advertising’. In the Gujarat elections, the opposition, showing their narrow mindedness, used abusive words against the Hriday Samrat, the most popular Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. How could Gujaratis tolerate this? They taught a befitting lesson to such parties and such people in a democratic manner in the assembly elections.

Along with Gujarat, there were legislative assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh as well. Earlier, the outgoing party used to be defeated by a margin of big vote percentage, but this time the margin of defeat and victory was less than one percent vote. Earlier, the BJP had also formed governments in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur with a resounding and unprecedented majority.
Along with the assembly elections, the BJP registered a historic victory in the by-elections held in Azamgarh and Rampur Lok Sabha seats. This victory is unprecedented in many ways because both these seats are not traditional strongholds of BJP and the party could never register victory here. Therefore, this victory reflects the widespread acceptance and support of the BJP’s ‘double engine’ government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In the Rampur assembly by-election also, the Lotus blossomed. This National Executive heartily congratulates respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and the leadership of National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji for this record breaking victory. We also assure them that the Bharatiya Janata Party and our governments will continue to fulfill the aspirations of the people.
Resolve to win the upcoming elections – Legislative assembly elections are going to be held in 9 states Tripura, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Karnataka, Mizoram, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh this year. We have pro-poor welfare and development oriented governments in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Tripura and Nagaland. We are moving towards a big victory in these states on the strength of the development work of our governments and the strength of the organization. The public is fed up with the Congress government in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and the BRS government in Telangana. Atrocities against women are happening there, poor people are not being heard and crime and corruption have gripped these states. The people here have made up their mind for change. Under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the states of the North East have become strongholds of the BJP. This National Executive expresses confidence that the BJP will form the government in all states with absolute majority with the blessings of the people.
Kashi Tamil Sangamam – On November 19, 2022, respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated ‘Kashi Tamil Sangamam’ in Kashi, the city of Lord Shiva, which concluded on December 16. This is the beginning of the journey of introducing the people of our country to the proud cultural heritage of India. Through this event, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is trying to further strengthen the thread of unity of the country through ‘Sangamam’ of the two timeless centers of culture and civilization. This is a wonderful effort to connect our ancient culture of exchange of thoughts and ideas and our ancient traditions. This makes the concept of ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’ a reality. It is an effort that sets the BJP apart from other political parties. Apart from political activities, the determination to unite the country in one thread is the identity of the BJP. Har Ghar Tiranga (Tricolor in every house) – Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji one appeal becomes a mass movement for the whole country. Another proof of this was evident when on July 22, 2022, under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, he appealed to all the people to hoist the tricolor at their homes or establishments from August 13 to 15. This campaign united the entire nation from north to south
On Prakash Parv of Dasham Pita Guru Gobind Singh Ji Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji announced that henceforth the martyrdom day of Guru Gobind Singh ji’s great martyr sons on December 26…would be commemorated as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’
and from east to west. This appeal had a strong impact on the people and people participated in the campaign enthusiastically and hoisted the tricolor at their homes and establishments. Due to this, while patriotism was kindled in the minds of the people across the country, the economy also benefited tremendously. The MSME sector contributed the most in making the tricolor flags. The Bogus politics of the opposition was rejected from the people’s court to the Supreme Court – The opposition made a lot of efforts to target our Prime Minister with false arguments, but every time they had to face defeat. From surgical strike to Pulwama, from Pakistan to China every time the false propaganda of the opposition fell flat on its face. Not only did they lose in the people’s court, in the last few months, the opposition had to face defeat from the Supreme Court in many important cases. The life of fabricated allegations is not very long. For 20 years, an intense campaign was launched to defame respected Shri Narendra Modi ji in the Gujarat riots case and our supreme leader bore this humiliation like a ‘Neelkanth’ because his only aim was the development of the nation. The Supreme Court put an end to this propaganda by giving a clean chit. Be it Pegasus case, loss in Rafale deal to the exchequer, ED money laundering case, Central Vista case, reservation case on economic basis or now demonetisation – every time the opposition was shown the door by the Supreme Court. The opposition should desist from this kind of politics, otherwise the public will not leave them anywhere. The simple manner in which the Prime Minister narrates the achievements of the country as well as the unique achievements of the common people in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program touches the hearts of all the Indians The biggest feature of this program is that it is a program of the people of the country and till date no political talk has taken place on this platform. The 100th season of the popular show will air in April 2023. We have to make it unforgettable with our best and heartfelt efforts.
Veer Bal Diwas – On 9th January, 2022, on the day of Prakash Parv of Dasham Pita Guru Gobind Singh Ji Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji announced that henceforth the martyrdom day of Guru Gobind Singh ji’s great martyr sons on December 26 – Sahibzade Baba Veer Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Veer Fateh Singh Ji- would be commemorated as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’. It was commemorated with full devotion and respect on 26 December. This shows how deep is the faith that respected Prime Minister has in the great Sikh religion. Till date no one has done as much work for the Sikh community as our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has done. We are proud of our Prime Minister.
