Senior BJP Leader And Former MP Satyadev Singh Passes Away

Former MP and senior BJP leader Shri Satya Dev Singh passed away on December 17 at the age of 75. He was being treated at the Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon due to poor health where he breathed his last.

Shri Satyadev Singh had held several important responsibilities including the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha National President as well as Uttar Pradesh State Vice-President. He had held responsibility of BJYM National President from 1980 to 1985. He was known for his simplicity and transparent politics. He also served as the part of BJP’s disciplinary committee. As a committed politician, he contested from Gonda Lok Sabha constituency for the first time in 1977 and won. Later, he was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Balrampur parliamentary seat as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party in 1991 and 1996. He also played an important role in Devipatan Mandal in the Ram Mandir movement.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and UP BJP President Shri Swatantra Dev Singh expressed condolences on his demise.
