Ram Vilas Paswan Ji rose in politics through hardwork and determination : PM

Union Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and President of Lok Janshakti Party, an ally of NDA, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan is no more. He died on October 8 at a Delhi hospital where he was recovering from heart surgery. The 74-year-old was undergoing treatment at the hospital, and had to undergo surgery on October 3. The national flag was flown at half mast in Delhi and Capitals of all States and UTs as a mark of respect to Cabinet Minister Shri Ram Vilas Paswan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President Shri JP Nadda and Union Ministers Shri Rajnath Singh and Shri Amit Shah condoled the demise of the leader. Prime Minister took to twitter and wrote, “I am saddened beyond words. There is a void in our nation that will perhaps never be filled. Shri Ram Vilas Paswan Ji’s demise is a personal loss. I have lost a friend, valued colleague and someone who was extremely passionate to ensure every poor person leads a life of dignity. Shri Ram Vilas Paswan Ji rose in politics through hardwork and determination. As a young leader, he resisted tyranny and the assault on our democracy during the Emergency. He was an outstanding Parliamentarian and Minister, making lasting contributions in several policy areas.”

BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda condoling the death said, “We saw him as a firebrand leader, who used to worry about poor and the person at the bottom of the society. Regardless of his ministerial post in any govt, he always befriended all parties. May his soul rest in peace and god give strength to his family”. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, paid his last respects to Union Minister and Lok Janashakti Party (LJP) leader Ram Vilas Paswan at the latter’s residence in New Delhi on Friday (October 9). BJP President Shri JP Nadda along with General Secretary (Organization) Shri B.L Santhosh also paid their respects to the departed leader.
