Guru Govind Singh Ji had four sons named Sahibzada Ajit Singh, Sahibzada Jujhaar Singh, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh, and Sahibzada Fateh Singh. It’s heart rendering that all four Sahibzadas had to sacrifice their lives to protect our Dharma, which has been recorded as the supreme sacrifice.

For the first time after the announcement by Prime Minister Modiji, a historic program was organized at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi to mark the “Veer Bal Diwas”. By observing this historical day, and by spreading awareness amongst the younger generation about the story of the bravery of Sahibzadas, a message to feel proud of the courage and strength of the youth and children of the country, was circulated in the masses.

The first ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ was a new beginning. On that day we are united in paying tribute to Sahibzadas for their sacrifice; which has been remembered for generations. Martyrdom Week and ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ bring a lot of emotions and infinite inspiration to the Sikh community. ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ inspires us and confirms the fact that age is no bar for bravery. ‘Veer Bal Diwas ‘ tells us about all the ten Gurus and the sacrifice of Sikhs for self-respect and the country. ‘Veer Bal Diwas’, gives us the opportunity to recognize our past, and inspires us to build a powerful future for India. And how has our young generation brought India out of darkness? ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ will remain to be the epitome of supreme sacrifice and struggle in the country for the time to come.

Standing fearlessly alone in the face of cruelty and fear, Guru’s brave Sahibzadas were neither afraid of any threat nor did they bow before anyone. Zorawar Singh Sahab and Fateh Singh Sahab were bricked alive in the wall. On one hand, cruelty crossed all its limits, whereas on the other hand, patience, bravery, and fearlessness were at their zenith. Sahibzada Ajit Singh and Sahibzada Jujhaar Singh also set that example of ultimate bravery. These sacrifices have been inspiring us for centuries. A country that has such a heritage, history and culture, it is natural for it to possess the utmost self-respect and confidence.

Prime Minister Shri Modi Ji thought of celebrating ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ to free the country from the mentality of slavery, this holds a great message for us. Today, when the youth of the country have set out to take the country to new heights, then The role of Veer Bal Diwas that falls on 26 December has become even more important. The Sikh’s Guru tradition is not just a tradition of faith and spirituality; it’s also a source of inspiration for the idea of ‘Ek Bharat! Shrestha Bharat!’.

The future of the following generations of India also depends on the fact that they get inspired. The level of sacrifice made by the Sahibzadas cannot be compared with any of the examples from other countries in the world. New India now under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi is correcting old mistakes committed decades ago.

In the ‘Amrit Kaal’, the country is making efforts to revive the history of the freedom struggle. We are making our all efforts to make the contributions of our freedom fighters, brave women, and tribal society reach the common people. A historical day ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ will also play the role of a guiding force in this direction

A nation is identified by its principles, values and ideals. We have seen in history, that when the values of a nation change, within a short time its future also changes. And, if these values remain safe, if the ideals of the past are clear to the present generation. The younger generation always needs inspiration and role models to move forward. The younger generation needs to know the history of their own heroes and greats to learn and take inspiration.

In the ‘Amrit Kaal’, the country is making efforts to revive the history of the freedom struggle. We are making our all efforts to make the contributions of our freedom fighters, brave women, and tribal society reach the common people. A historical day ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ will also play the role of a guiding force in this direction.

We need to come together and take the message of Veer Bal Diwas to every nook and corner of the country so that the people of the country know the history of sacrifice, courage, and bravery of their ancestors. Therefore, the message of the lives of our four Sahibzadas should reach every child of the country and they should take inspiration from them and become dedicated citizens of the country.
