PM’s CONCLUDING ADDRESS

The two-day National Executive Committee Meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party was concluded in New Delhi on January 16-17, 2023. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis informed reporters that in his concluding and inspirational address, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi asked BJP leaders and Karyakartas to reach out to every section of society, including minorities such as Bohras, Pasmandas and Sikhs, without electoral considerations. He said the BJP is no longer merely a political movement but a social movement as well that is working to transform socio-economic conditions. Concluding the two-day BJP National Executive Committee Meeting, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi called on party Karyakartas for a mega outreach to the marginalized sections of the society. Nine states have their assembly elections this year and the BJP could benefit from the support of these communities. He also called party workers to hit top gear in 400 days left for 2024 Lok Sabha elections and aim for two-thirds majority.

Reminding BJP delegates that around 400 days are left for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Shri Modi asked them to serve every section of society with full dedication. The Prime Minister said India’s best era is coming and the party should dedicate itself to the country’s development and turn “Amrit Kaal”, the 25-year period till 2047, into “Kartavya Kaal”.

BJP working to transform socio-economic conditions

The BJP is no longer merely a political movement but a social movement as well that is working to transform socio-economic conditions.

The Prime Minister asked the BJP leaders to meet professionals from different walks of life and visit places like universities and churches to connect with them.

He also cautioned the party against any sense of overconfidence and cited an example of the BJP’s loss in Madhya Pradesh in 1998 despite the unpopularity of the Congress Government led by Digvijaya Singh.

The Prime Minister emphasised on reaching out to each and every segment of the society of all communities.

Shri Modi also advised the party to conduct special programmes of its different Morchas, especially in border villages so that it can connect with people there more and ensure that the Government’s developmental schemes reach them.

While asking the party to make deeper contacts, Shri Modi sought party leaders to approach all sections, including the Muslim minorities, particularly the marginalised ones like Bohras and Pasmandas.

FOCUS ON YOUNG VOTERS

PM Shri Narendra Modi asked the party to focus on the youth.

The PM suggested voters in the 18-25 age group be made aware of India’s contemporary political history and the ‘misgovernance and corruption’ of the previous governments.

Focus on creating awareness among the youth. Let them know about the good governance of the BJP, Shri Modi said.

The party, he said, must also play a role in the development of aspirational districts while running parallel programmes to tackle malnutrition and other such issues.

AVOID CONTROVERSIES

The PM also asked party workers to avoid controversies, not run after headlines but work on the grassroot level.

“Dharti Bachao”

Emphasising on environment conservation, the Prime Minister instructed party workers that on lines of “Beti Bachao” campaign they have to start “Dharti Bachao” (save earth) campaign.

The Prime Minister also underlined the need to reduce dependency on fertilisers.

Kashi-Tamil Sangamam

PM Shri Modi referred to the Kashi-Tamil Sangamam, which was recently held in Varanasi, to celebrate ancient spiritual ties between the two regions.

He asked party members to connect with different cultures.

He asked to dedicate every moment of our life to advance the country’s development. Concluding his inspirational speech PM Shri Narendra Modi said, “Only those who take a pledge go on to create history. The BJP has to take a pledge and also to create history”.
