‘BJP FOLLOWING AMBEDKAR’S PATH OF SOCIAL JUSTICE’

Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri JP Nadda paid floral tributes to Dr BR Ambedkar on his Birth Anniversary at BJP national headquarters in Delhi on 14 April, 2023. This year marks the 133rd Birth Anniversary of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar. On 14 April, Ambedkar Jayanti is held across the nation to honour the father of the Indian Constitution. Born on 14 April, 1891, Dr Ambedkar was an Indian jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who campaigned against social discrimination and supported the rights of women and workers. In 1990, Ambedkar was conferred with India’s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna.

Implement Babasaheb’s ideals and ideas

Speaking on the occasion, BJP National President Shri Nadda said, “Today, on behalf of crores of Karyakartas of the party, I pay homage to Babasaheb and pay my respects to him. On this day, all of the BJP Karyakartas also take pledge to implement Babasaheb’s ideals and ideas in our lives with a determined spirit”.
He said, “Today, the people of India are remembering and celebrating Ambedkar’s Jayanti. Lakhs of BJP workers are celebrating Babasaheb’s Birth Anniversary at every booth. Babasaheb’s contribution in terms of development, social upliftment and social justice in the country is unforgettable. BJP Karyakartas are determined to follow the path shown by Babasaheb, he added.

Architect of the Indian Constitution

Shri Nadda said, “We all are aware that Bharat Ratna Dr Bhim Rao Ambekar was a great spirit. He has made a great contribution towards nation building, social upliftment and social justice which the people of India can never forget.”

For the first time five major places associated with the life of Babasaheb were declared as ‘Panchteerth’. Also, it was developed.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi decided to celebrate 14th April every year as ‘Harmony Day’ in honor of Babasaheb.

Commemorative coins were issued on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary.
