‘BJP government in Goa will fulfill all its promises’

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah addressing a huge rally at Farmagudi, Ponda in Goa on 16 April, 2023 said, “I urge Goa to give both seats to BJP.” “Today, I am here and the BJP karyakartas have assured me that they will win the South Goa seat for Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi”, Shri Shah added.

The Union Home Minister said that Goa is a tiny state but small states in the country are just as important as the big ones. “Congress may see Goa as a small state but for us, it is like a bindi on Bharat Mata’s forehead,” Shri Shah said.

He further said that the BJP government in Goa will fulfill all its promises in the next four years.

Shri Shah said, “Shri Parrikar taught everybody about the virtues of simplicity, uprightness, and honesty. He is not among us today, but I am certain that the people of Goa will never forget him. His memories will always remain in the hearts of BJP karyakartas and the people of Goa.”

Speaking on issues concerning mining, he said that the BJP government has resolved them and mining will resume in Goa in a year.

Chief Minister Shri Pramod Sawant was praised by the Union Home Minister for giving stability to Goa.

Before leaving for the airport, Shri Shah prayed at Nageshi temple.

In his speech Chief Minister Shri Pramod Sawant hit out at the opposition parties in the state and said the opposition presence is restricted to seven and they cannot do anything except criticise.

He also said that the Centre will give reservations for the STs from the 2027 assembly election.

BJP State President Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Union Minister of State for Tourism Shri Shripad Naik, State Ministers and MLAs among others attended the rally.
