‘BJP VOWS FOR A SWAYAMPURNA GOA’

Assuring to make Goa a $50-billion economy, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari on 08 February, 2022 released Sankalp Patra 2022 in Panaji, Goa for the state assembly elections – which among other things promised every household in the state three free LPG cylinders, no hike in the state duties on petrol and diesel for next three years and restarting mining operations within six months of forming government, if it returns to power.

Union Minister Shri Shripad Naik, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, state Election in-Charge of the party and former Maharashtra CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis and state BJP President Shri Sadanand Tanawade were present on the occasion.
The Sankalp Patra further assured to introduce Manohar Parrikar Kalyan Fund, which will be a common development fund of up to 3 crore for every Panchayat and up to 5 crore for every municipality to boost the infrastructure. It also promised provision of good quality housing for all Goans in the next five years by providing home loans for deserving families at an interest rate of 2% for women and 4% for men, as also developing and providing residential plots.

Empowering goa’s Homemakers

• We will provide three free LPG cylinders to every household in Goa to ease the burden on the homemakers of the state.
• We will increase the old age pension under DSSY to Rs. 3000/- per month.

Housing for all Goans

• We shall provide good quality housing for all Goans in the next five years by providing home loans for deserving families at an interest rate of 2% for women and 4% for men and also work for developing & providing residential plots.

Government of the Common Man

• We shall not increase the state duties on petrol and diesel for the next three years.
• Government of the Common Man: We will introduce the Manohar Parrikar Kalyan Fund, which will be a Common Development Fund of up to 3 crore for every Panchayat and upto 5 crore for every municipality to boost infrastructure.

Enhancing the Ease of Living for all

• We will introduce a homestay scheme which will provide an interest free loan of Rs. 5 lakh and training for those local residents of Goa wishing to provide homestay facilities.

Empowering the Future of Goa

• We will provide 100% EPF and EPS subsidies upto Rs. 5,000 per month per employee to entrepreneurs employing local youth in their establishments and also conduct job fairs to facilitate employment in the state.

A Gold for Goa

• We will launch “Mission Gold Coast” to create an Olympic gold medalist for India from Goa.
• Transforming Goa into an International Football Destination

Restarting Mining

• Within six months of returning to power, we will start mining in the state through the Goa Mineral Development Corporation.

Making Goa a $50 Billion Economy

• We will, through our constant efforts, propel Goa to a growth trajectory that will enable the state to become a $50 billion economy in the next 10 years.

Swayampurna Yuva

• We shall aim at doubling the income of horticulturists by providing incentives up to Rs.10 lakh to new export oriented FPOs. We shall also build 20 cold storage facilities across Goa.

Empowering the Women of the State

• we will enable Women Self-Help Groups to establish Annapoorna canteens for affordable food, short-stay homes for working women and shops across the state to exclusively sell SHG made products. Every GTDC Hotel will have these exclusive shops.
