The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on 30 November has said that the GDP growth numbers for Q2 display the resilience and strength of the Indian economy in the midst of such testing times globally.

The Prime Minister posted on X: “The GDP growth numbers for Q2 display the resilience and strength of the Indian economy in the midst of such testing times globally. We are committed to ensuring fast paced growth to create more opportunities, rapid eradication of poverty and improving ‘Ease Of Living’ for our people.”

Surpassing the analysts’ expectations, India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) witnessed a growth of 7.6% on an annual basis in the second quarter (July-September) as against a four-year high of 7.8% in the previous quarter, data released by the National Statistical Office (NSO) showed. A median poll of 10 economists by ET had showed the economy clocking growth figures of 6.7%.
