BJP National President’s Assam Pravas
BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda visited Assam on 10 January, 2024 to take stock of the pre-poll preparations. During the visit Shri Nadda addressed the Assam State Executive Meeting of the party, met the office bearers and interacted with the natives inquiring about their well-being. The National President’s Pravas to Assam was mainly focused on preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
On his arrival, the BJP National President was received by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma along with senior BJP office-bearers and party leaders. People and party Karyakartas came out in huge numbers to welcome the BJP National President during a road show in Kamrup. The roadshow was held from Koinadhara to Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, Panjabari, in Guwahati. Cultural troupes from various tribes in the state performed dance and folk songs during the roadshow.
Shri Nadda also offered prayers at the Maa Kamakhya temple. After holding the roadshow, Shri JP Nadda met with Assam Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma and state BJP President Shri Bhabesh Kalita during the party’s Assam Pradesh Executive meeting.
Addressing the Assam State Executive Meeting of the party at Shrimant Shankardev Kalakshetra in Kamrup, BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda called the office bearers to make lotus bloom on all the Lok Sabha seats with the cooperation of the people in Assam under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
• Under the leadership of respected Prime Minister with the blessings of the people of Assam, lotus will bloom on all the Lok Sabha seats of the state. People have seen our track record that whatever BJP says, it delivers. This is Modiji’s guarantee. ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai’.
• The I.N.D.I. Alliance only agrees on two things: saving black money and protecting family interests. This is not an I.N.D.I. Alliance, this is an alliance to protect family, property, and black money.
• The Congress party, which laid the foundation of injustice, has today set out on the so-called Bharat Jodo Yatra. Congress is not working to unite India but to break it. No one knows what agreement was reached between the Congress and the Communist Party of China.
• Congress is not capable of running the government as well as running the Opposition. Congress does not realize that while opposing Modi ji, they start opposing the country.
• In 1984, when there was a massacre of Sikhs and thousands of Sikhs were killed, Rajiv Gandhi made a statement that ‘When a big tree falls, the earth shakes.’ Congress has not apologized for this statement and the riots till date. The people of Assam and the country should demand answers from Rahul Gandhi on the 1984 riots and want an apology from him.
• After independence, Prime Minister Shri Modi has visited the North-East the greatest number of times and has resolved all the issues there.
• The Bharatiya Janata Party and Bharatiya Jana Sangh have a special relationship with Assam, because of the fight of Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee and Shri Gopinath Bordoloi for the unity and integrity of the country.
• Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the government has vigorously pursued social change, social justice, and empowerment across the nation. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, India has transformed into ‘Bharat’.
