MADAN DAS DEVI JI IS NO MORE

Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Akhila Bharatiya Karyakarini Sadasya and former Sah-Sarkaryavah Shri Madan Das Devi is no more. He passed away in Bengaluru on 24 July, 2023.

Shri Madan Das Devi was born in the Solapur district’s Karmala tehsil. He held the positions of organisation secretary for the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), and Sah-Sarkaryavah (joint general secretary) of RSS. He succumbed to his illness in Bengaluru’s Rashtrotthan Hospital after a protracted illness. His final rites were performed on 25 July in Pune. BJP National President Shri J.P. Nadda, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, RSS Sarsanghchalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat, Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Shri Ajit Pawar and several other leaders attended the final rites.

He dedicated his entire life to the service of the nation: Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in his massage said, “Deeply saddened by the demise of Shri Madan Das Devi ji. He dedicated his entire life to the service of the nation. I not only had a close association with him, but always got to learn a lot from him. May God give strength to all the workers and their families in this hour of grief. om Shanti!”

He ensured that the ideology is taken forward : JP Nadda

Addressing the gathering at the crematorium, BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda praised Shri Devi’s dedication and commitment to the RSS’s ideology and his efforts in keeping activists connected despite limited communication resources in the past. “He remained connected with activists despite the unavailability of communication resources in the past. He ensured that the ideology is taken forward,” he said. Shri Mohan Bhagwat, in his condolence message, highlighted the Madan Das Devi’s significant contributions, not only to the RSS but also to fostering connections among people.

Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh expressing the condolence said, “I am deeply saddened by the demise of Shri Madan Das Devi, a senior Pracharak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He spent his whole life in the service of the nation and the society. His life inspires everyone to serve the society selflessly. His passing is an irreparable loss to the society. My condolences to his bereaved family in this hour of grief. Om Shanti!”

After paying tributes to the departed soul in Pune, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah said, “Madandas Devi Ji had such a personality that he used to leave an indelible mark with his high principles in the lives of whoever he met. Following the ideals of Shri Guruji, he dedicated his life to making ‘Youth Power’ into ‘Rashtra Shakti’. He nurtured the ABVP like a banyan tree and contributed significantly to its expansion. Crores of workers are mourning by his death. Millions of salutes to such a loyal volunteer who lived for the country and ideology.”
