Emphatic win of BJP-Sena alliance in Maharashtra
BJP becomes single largest party in Haryana with 3% more votes
In Maharashtra, in the last 50 years, not a single Chief Minister has been able to serve for 5 consecutive years. However, with the declaration of results on 24 October, 2019, CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis broke that record by successfully completing a five-year term as Chief Minister and again getting reelected with a majority for the next five years.
As per election results declared in Maharashtra, the BJP-Shiv Sena came back to power with comfortable majority. The BJP-Sena combine had won 160 seats in the 288 member house in the state. The alliance of the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), on the other hand, had won 98 seats.
Incumbent Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis has won Nagpur South West seat by 49,344 votes, defeating Congress’s Dr Ashish Deshmukh. Maharashtra BJP President Shri Chandrakant Patil also won Kothrud Assembly constituency in Pune city by a margin of 25,495 votes defeating MNS candidate Kishore Shinde. Similarly, Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray won the Worli seat in Mumbai.
With this emphatic victory consecutively for the secondly time, it is certain that Shri Devendra Fadnavis will form the next government in Maharashtra.
“CLEAR AND DECISIVE MANDATE” TO BJP-LED NDA : DEVENDRA FADNAVIS
After the BJP-Shiv Sena victory, while addressing a press conference outside the BJP Headquarter in Mumbai, CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis thanked the people of Maharashtra for unprecedented mandate. “I thank Modi ji, Amit Shah ji, JP Nadda ji for their guidance. I thank Uddhav Thackeray ji, Ramdas Athawale ji and other ally leaders,” he said.
Shri Fadnavis said, “I assure people of Maharashtra that our government will fulfill their aspirations. We will work better than last time. We are thankful to the workers who have shown is this day again.”
He said, “15 independent MLAs have contacted me and they are ready to come with us. Others may also come but these 15 will come with us. Most of them are BJP or Shiv Sena rebels.”
The Maharashtra CM said the BJP has won fewer seats compared to the 2014 Assembly polls, but the “strike rate” this time is better.
Shri Fadnavis also thanked the people of Maharashtra for giving a “clear and decisive mandate” to the BJP-led NDA. He also said that the BJP and Shiv Sena will go by what was pre-decided between them on the sharing of power.
Shri Devendra Fadnavis said, “I assure people of Maharashtra once again that our government will fulfill their aspirations and all its promises. We are thankful to the Karyakartas, who have shown this day again.”

Union Home Minister and BJP National President Shri Amit Shah congratulated BJP-Shiv Sena alliance for the win. He tweeted, “Congratulations to the people of Maharashtra for expressing confidence in the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance. Under the leadership of Modi ji, the Government of Maharashtra will continue to be dedicated to the progress of the state and service to the people.”

VICTORY IS OF POLITICS OF DEVELOPMENT: Nitin Gadkari
This is victory is of politics of development, said Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari on BJP-Shiv Sena win. He said, “I express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Maharashtra for re-electing Mahayuti Government. I congratulate Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and lakhs of dedicated Karyakartas of our party for this victory. This is indeed the victory of politics of development.”
In a press conference, Shiv Sena chief Shri Uddhav Thackeray said that the mandate was in favour of BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in Maharashtra.
HARYANA POLL RESULTS
In Haryana, the BJP emerged as the single largest party with 40 seats in the 90 member house of the state. The victory in the state was unique because these days the chances of winning in elections again after completing a 5-year term is very less and in such an environment it is a big thing for the BJP to come back again as the largest party with the trust and blessings of the people.
The BJP won 40 seats in Haryana Assembly poll, as compared to 47 seats the party bagged in the last Assembly poll. However, BJP’s vote share in Haryana went up to 36 per cent this time from 33 per cent last time and undoubtedly it shows people’s endorsement of government’s work.
The result which was declared on 24 October, 2019; the opposition Congress logged victory on 31 seats, while JJP got 10 seats. INLD, which had won 19 seats in 2014 polls, could get just one seat, while others managed to grab eight seats.
PM expressed gratitude to Haryana for reposing faith in BJP yet again
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to the people of Haryana for reposing their faith in the BJP yet again. He said, “I thank the people of Haryana for blessing us. We will continue to work with the same zeal and dedication for the state’s progress. I laud the efforts of hardworking BJP Haryana Karyakartas who toiled extensively and went among the people to elaborate on our development agenda”.
Three per cent increase in BJP’s vote share in Haryana: Amit Shah
After the declaration of results BJP National President and Home Minister Shri Amit Shah said, in Haryana, there has been a 3 per cent increase in BJP’s vote share since the last time and BJP emerged as the largest party there. He thanked people of Haryana for giving their blessings.
Shri Amit Shah said people have shown their faith in the speed with which Modi 2.0 government is working. He also said the ruling BJP-led by Manohar Lal Khattar which won 40 seats will stake claim to form the next government in Haryana.
In a tweet Shri Amit Shah said, “The Manohar Lal Khattar government in Haryana has made every effort for people’s welfare under the central leadership of Narendra Modi. I thank people for making the BJP the single-largest party and giving it another opportunity to serve them”.
He also congratulated Chief Minister Shri Manoharlal Khattar and state party President Shri Subhash Barala.
We will leave no stone unturned for the development of Haryana : JP Nadda
The Working President of the Bharatiya Janata Party Shri JP Nadda on October 24 also congratulated party Karyakartas of Haryana for their good performance in the assembly elections. Taking to Twitter Shri JP Nadda also thanked the people of Haryana for showing confidence in the BJP government.
Shri Nadda also thanking the people of Haryana said, “Under the guidance of PM Modi, Chief Minister Khattar has worked for the development of Haryana. I am grateful to the people of the state for showing confidence in the work done by him. I assure you that we will leave no stone unturned for the service and development of the people of Haryana. Congratulations to all the workers.”
Speaking about the victory of BJP in both the state Shri JP Nadda said, “People of both states have expressed their faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decisive leadership, evolutionary policies, corruption-free and good governance of the state. I can assure you that we will intensify the pace of development in both the states and serve every person.”
Among the star candidates, the CM Shri Manohar Lal Khattar won the Karnal seat by 45,000 votes, and Health Minister Shri Anil Vij won the seat from Ambala Cantt. He won by 20,165 votes, defeating Independent candidate Chitra Sarwara.
Among others, BJP candidate Aseem Goel won from Ambala city by 8,952 votes, BJP candidate Seema Trikha won Badkhal seat by 2,545 votes. In Faridabad, BJP candidate Narender Gupta won the elections by 21,713 votes. BJP candidate Ghanshyam Saraf won Bhiwani Assembly seat with 27,884 votes. In Gurgaon, BJP candidate Sudhir Singla won the elections by 33,315 votes. In Hansi, BJP candidate Vinod Bhayana won the elections by 22,260 votes.
Similarly, BJP candidate Dr Kamal Gupta won Hisar Assembly seat by 15,832 votes. BJP candidate Kanwar Pal won Jagadhri seat by 16,373 votes. In Palwal, BJP candidate Deepak Mangla won the election by 28,296 votes, defeating Congress candidate Karan Singh. In Panchkula, BJP candidate Gian Chand Gupta won the election by 5,633 votes. In Panipat City, BJP candidate Parmod Kumar Vij won the elections by 39,545. In Panipat Rural, BJP candidate Mahipal Dhanda won the elections by 21,961 votes. In Pataudi (SC), BJP candidate Satya Parkash won the elections by 36,579. In Pehowa, BJP candidate Sandeep Singh won the election by 5,314 votes. From Kaithal, BJP candidate Leela Ram won the election by 1,246 votes, defeating Congress candidate Randeep Singh Surjewala.
In Kalayat, BJP candidate Kamlesh Dhanda won the election by 8,974 votes, in Kosli, BJP candidate Laxman Singh Yadav has won the elections, by 38,624, in Loharu, BJP candidate Jai Parkash Dalal won the elections by 17,677 votes, in Narnaul, BJP candidate Om Prakash Yadav won the election by 14,715 votes, in Sohna and in Tigaon, Yamunanagar, Thanesar seats BJP also registered victories.

BJP Parliamentary Board authorizes Amit Shah to take all decisions on Maharashtra & Haryana
BJP Parliamentary Board authorized BJP National President and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah on 24 October 2019 to take all decisions regarding government formation in Maharashtra and Haryana.
The Board, which is the apex organizational body of the party, met in National Headquarters of the party in New Delhi after the party won in Maharashtra and became single largest party in Haryana.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Party National President Shri Amit Shah, BJP Working President Shri JP Nadda besides other senior party leaders, attended the board’s meeting.
