PM Addresses 11 Post Budget Webinar

Recently, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed 11 budget related webinars. PM participated in budget webinar relating to ministries/deparments of Higher Education, Rural Development, Agriculture, Defence, Health, DPIIT, PSA, MNRE, DEA and DIPAM. The Union Budget-2022 has made several announcements for the economic growth of the country and to further the well-being of our people. These webinars were conducted with the objective of sustaining momentum of the Budget and to create a sense of ownership by all stakeholders in its implementation. These webinars have covered a diverse spectrum of subjects like SMART agriculture, PM Gatishakti, Aatmanirbharta in defence, digital education and dynamic skilling, inclusive and equitable healthcare delivery, Make in India and financing for aspirational economy etc.

The webinars saw an estimated participation of around 40 thousand stakeholders which included entrepreneurs, MSMEs, exporters, global investors, representatives of the Central and State governments, youth from the world of startups, among others.

Key takeaway’s from these Webinars :

• PM said it was digital connectivity that kept the country’s education system going during the pandemic. He noted the decreasing digital divide in India. “Innovation is ensuring inclusion in our country. Now going even further, country is moving towards integration”, he said. He stressed that measures like e-Vidya, One Class One Channel, digital labs, digital universities are creating an educational infrastructure which will go a long way in helping the youth of the country.
• PM elaborated also on the seven ways in which the Budget proposes to make agriculture modern and smart. Firstly, The target is to undertake natural farming on mission. Secondly, Modern technology in agriculture and horticulture will be made available to the farmers. Thirdly, Emphasis has been laid on strengthening Mission Oil Palm to reduce the import of edible oil. Fourthly, new logistics arrangements will be made through PM Gati-Shakti plan for the transportation of agricultural products. Fifth solution in the Budget is better organization of agri-waste management and increasing farmers’ income. Sixthly, more than 1.5 lakh post offices will provide services like regular banking. Seventh, Agri research and education syllabus will be changed as per demands of modern times.
• The Prime Minister said, that the world is looking at India as a manufacturing powerhouse.
