Sri Baddhevolu Narayana Reddy joined RSS at the age of 10 years and worked as a swayamsewak. He actively participated and coordinated RSS activities that were conducted in the Nellore District. At the age of 26, he joined Bharatiya Jana Sangh soon after it was formed and became its active member. Due to his dedication towards the party, he held significant positions in the party. During Emergency, as the BJS President of Nellore District and with the help of party workers, he carried out underground activities to educate people and protect the party cadre. In 1978, he was actively involved in the victory of Shri Venkaiah Naidu Ji, an MLA candidate from Udayagiri constituency.
