‘Unite under the strong leadership of PM Modi with the resolve of a developed India’
On the second day of BJP National Convention held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on 18 February 2024, the Resolution on ‘BJP– Desh ki Asha, Vipaksh ki Hatasha’ was moved by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah. This Resolution was seconded by the Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Shri Arjun Munda, Haryana Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal Khattar and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav.
The Resolution highlighted the selfishness, nepotism, corruption, negative, and defeatist politics of Congress and asked for the defeat of INDI Alliance and to unite under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with the resolve of a developed India. The opposition in Indian politics is unable to make its due contribution owing to negativity, narrow-mindedness and corruption surrounding them. In this opposition, we have the Congress and the recently formed ‘INDI Alliance’, which is constantly disintegrating due to mutual self-interest, differences and directionless leadership. On one hand, a political party like Congress is suffering from arrogance, on the other hand, the entire national leadership of the ‘Aam Aadmi Party’ is in jail for their indulgence in the excise scam. The mentality of the opposition is reflected in the fact that the baseless statements given by the DMK leaders are unnecessarily hurting the basic spirit of India. While the INDI Alliance flaunts its democratic credentials, in reality, one of its major partners, TMC, is actively using the state machinery to deprive women and other citizens of their rights.
It is ironic that even after losing two consecutive elections, with its support and sphere of influence continuously declining, the arrogance of both the Congress party and its leaders is at its peak. The culmination of this is that the main leader of Congress goes abroad and questions the democracy of India and even invites foreign intervention in its democratic process. Over the past decade, India has witnessed several notable milestones that have stirred moments of national pride. These moments include significant strides towards economic justice through the implementation of GST, the historic election of Mrs. Draupadi Murmu, a member of the tribal community as the President of India, the inauguration of the new Parliament House in ‘Amrit Kaal’, India’s leadership role in international forums like the G-20, and the installation of the revered ‘Sengol’ symbol, representing justice, policy, and Indian cultural values in politics. Despite these achievements, the Congress-led opposition has consistently chosen to boycott such occasions.
The mentality of the Congress and its allies shows that their politics is not based on policy and principles, but only on the phobia of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. On the one hand, there is ample evidence of their negative thinking, while on the other hand, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has tried to create a positive atmosphere in the country by establishing dialogue with all sections of society and taking them along. By following the rules and regulations in his personal life to participate in the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ramlalla, he performed all the rituals with positive energy.
The Nation has seen the period in 2014 when corruption was rampant during the UPA government led by Congress. Even today, Congress leaders and its allies are found involved when Rs 350 crore in cash is seized in Jharkhand, crores of rupees are seized in Tamil Nadu, and in Chhattisgarh, even Mahadev’s name is not spared and crores of rupees are cheated via the Mahadev Betting APP. This shows that Congress’s lust for power and hunger for corruption has not yet been settled.
Unfortunately, the opposition has repeatedly broken the decorum of Parliament. Not only did they obstruct the work of the Parliament, but they also targeted and ridiculed the highest persons sitting on the constitutional posts. The Congress has tarnished the role of a credible opposition. The opposition should also answer why the allegations leveled by them have been rejected by the court every time. They also did not express regret when they were held guilty by the court for making casteist remarks about the Prime Minister, who comes from the OBC community. The Congress, which repeatedly defames the central agency, should tell what action the party has taken against its leaders from whose houses the money of corruption was found. The biggest irony is that Congress is also worried about the country’s economy, which has transformed from the world’s fragile economy (during the UPA era) to the world’s fifth-largest economy. The negative mindset of the opposition is not a good sign for the democracy of the country.
Congress: Mother of Instability
The Indian democratic journey has been a witness to the continuous misuse of Article 356 since the time of Jawaharlal Nehru for destabilizing non-Congress governments. The crisis in the country peaked when the Congress party threw the country into turmoil by imposing an emergency. The Congress has always mocked democracy by destabilizing the governments led by Chaudhuri Charan Singh, C. Rajagopalachari, Inder Kumar Gujral, or Deve Gowda. Today, the congress is supporting the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi. In the past, Congress negated the AAP Party, now they are together in the INDI alliance.

The Congress party, once called Mamata Banerjee the most corrupt leader, has made TMC a part of the INDI Alliance. The Congress continues to play love and hate with the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh. Today, all the small parties that have joined the Congress alliance are not doing so out of any faith in democracy but to maintain nepotistic beliefs and hierarchies. If seen closely, the Congress is the mother of instability in the country.

Therefore, from Punjab to Bengal, regional parties are trying to get rid of the INDI Alliance. It is extremely unfortunate that the ‘Tukde-Tukde’ gang, which conspired to divide the country in 2019, is now part of the Congress’ advisory board.
The Bizarre Combination of the INDI Alliance
The ‘Indi’ alliance, formed solely to oppose Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, lacks any ideological basis. The various parties involved in it are contesting against each other in elections and are mostly political opponents. In Kerala, the Congress and the Communists fight against each other, while in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) contests against the Congress. In West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Congress Party are staunch rivals. There is neither ideological similarity nor harmony among them, nor do they have any common agenda. Their only goal is to stop Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Congress: Anti-poor
The Congress party has, at one time, advocated for the eradication of poverty, but its character has always been anti-poor, anti-Dalit, anti-backward, anti-farmer, and anti-worker. This is the reason why the congress government could never digest the fact that a person born into a poor tea-seller family is a Prime Minister today. Right from the beginning, the welfare schemes run in the name of the poor were tools of corruption, as acknowledged by Rajiv Gandhi himself, who said that out of every rupee, only 15 paise reached the public. Due to this widespread corruption and looting, the country could not develop for many decades even after independence. Poverty, hunger, and unemployment plagued the common people while Congress leaders enjoyed a life of luxury and comfort.
The Congress had neither the knowledge of the needs of the poor nor did they ever seriously intend to alleviate poverty in the country. Today, through various innovative schemes, even the poorest of the poor in the country are getting homes, health insurance, gas cylinders, clean drinking water, electricity, access to banking, and free rations. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, 25 crore people have risen above multidimensional poverty in just one decade, and even after global pandemics like COVID-19, the rate of extreme poverty in the country has decreased to less than 1 percent.
Corruption has deeply entrenched the Congress and its allied parties
The Narendra Modi government’s relentless campaign against corruption under zero tolerance towards corruption is ongoing with full force. Recoveries of hundreds of crores in cash have been made from the residence of a Congress Member of Parliament, and cash was seized from the Delhi residence of a sitting Chief Minister. Liquor scandals in Delhi and the ‘Mahadev APP scandal’ in Chhattisgarh have shaken the public. It has become evident under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi Ji that those who have looted the country will have to return the looted wealth to the nation. No one will be spared in corruption cases, regardless of their stature. This National Convention congratulates Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his successful efforts to give a corruption-free governance to the country.
Congress’s divisive politics
For a long time, the Congress leadership has been indulging in activities aimed at dividing the country. Recently, in Karnataka, the brother of a deputy Chief minister in the Congress government and a Lok Sabha MP from the Congress openly demanded that South India be recognized as a separate country. The entire Congress leadership remained silent on this issue.
The Congress, which expels a Hindu saint associated with its party for supporting traditional culture, protects those who make divisive statements. It is clear, that the Congress supports are divisive elements. Congress leaders engage in discussions with all kinds of divisive forces within the country and abroad. Individuals involved in the Coimbatore bomb blast are released, and those chanting slogans like “Bharat Tere Tukde Honge” are made the face of Congress campaigns.
The involvement of Congress with individuals like George Soros, who sponsor divisive activities, is evident. Demand for interference in India’s democracy by foreign powers is made after visiting foreign lands. Congress leaders seek assistance against the Modi government from Pakistan and sing praises of Pakistan.
Many Congress leaders have visited Pakistan and collaborated with anti-India forces. During the abrogation of Article 370, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury in the Lok Sabha demanded consent from Pakistan. This collaboration with Pakistan does not stop here. Pakistan uses the official statements of Rahul Gandhi on Article 370 for their benefit at the UN forum.
Attack on Indian culture
Boycotting the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Ramlalla at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya is the epitome of the appeasement politics of the opposition. Various components of the INDI Alliance, including the Congress, Samajwadi Party, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Trinamool Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, DMK, among others, make derogatory comments about the Shri Ram Mandir.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge says that if the Narendra Modi government returns in 2024, the establishment of Sanatan will take place in India. His son and Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge make every possible effort to denigrate Sanatan culture. When DMK, a coalition partner of Congress, compares Sanatan with diseases like dengue, malaria, and AIDS, Congress MP Karti Chidambaram supports it.
Leaders of coalition partners of the INDI Alliance, such as the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Samajwadi Party, continuously spew venom against Sanatan Dharam. This list includes leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party, from Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia to Rajendra Gautam and Gopal Italia, who insult Hindu deities.
How Congress Opposes All Progressive Schemes

Furthermore, it made reprehensible attempts to undermine the morale of our country’s soldiers by questioning the achievements and preparedness of the armed forces from time to time.
Politics of support and opposition
If we look at the past decade, we will see that on every occasion, the Congress habitually opposed all those schemes which they supported during their time. The congress criticizes the present government for its reforms on the digital revolution. The congress which gave the slogan of ‘Garibi Hatao’ opposed Jan-Dhan bank accounts. Whether it is UPI or Aadhaar, Congress opposed all the issues. The same GST (Goods and Services Tax) that it used to advocate, Congress started opposing when it was time to implement it practically.
During Congress’s rule, there were several proposals for a new parliament building, but when Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the construction of the new parliament building, Congress opposed it. In reality, this was an insult to the temple of democracy. The Congress, which shed crocodile tears for the backward classes, could not grant constitutional status to the backward classes commission during its ten-year tenure, and it is well-known how much Rajiv Gandhi opposed backward class reservations. When the COVID pandemic was spreading worldwide and India was grappling with the pandemic, not only did Congress work to break the morale of the country, but it also created obstacles in the steps taken to fight this global pandemic. It even opposed the ‘Made in India’ vaccine. If we look closely, Congress has opposed every historic and transformative step taken by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, regardless of how beneficial it may be for the country.
Disrespect of the country’s constitutional institutions and scientists by the Congress
Disrespecting all the constitutional institutions of the country is an old habit of the INDI Alliance. Not only do they make irresponsible statements about the judiciary, legislature, executive, and election commission, but they also do not hesitate to criticize the country’s scientists. The country’s Chief of Army Staff has already been referred to using derogatory language. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is questioning the scientists who contributed significantly to the success of the Chandrayaan mission by comparing poverty eradication with the Chandrayaan Mission! Even during the COVID era, questions were raised about the country’s vaccines, disrespecting eminent scientists. Additionally, there were unsuccessful attempts to restrict foreign companies.
Congress’s immature and irresponsible politics
Congress has consistently avoided self-reflection on its mismanagement by blaming the country’s constitutional institutions, including the Constitution, judiciary, parliament, election commission, EVMs, and even voters. Politics of violence and lawlessness by the INDI Alliance
The Indian National Congress and most of its coalition partners in the INDI Alliance have been involved in a politics of lawlessness and violence. Recently, horrifying incidents have come to light in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal, which shook everyone. The Trinamool Congress has been consistently targeting BJP workers in West Bengal, attempting to suppress the voice of the people through violence. Similarly, in Kerala, several incidents of murder and violence against BJP workers have occurred under the CPI(M) government and its allied parties. The jungle raj established by the Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bihar is still remembered by the country. Wherever Congress has been in power, Dalits, tribals, women, farmers, and the common people have faced various forms of oppression, harassment, and atrocity. BJP applauds the dedication of its workers who are risking their lives to fight against the violence and lawlessness promoted by Congress and its allied parties across the country. We are committed to continuing our struggle against such negative politics.
Congress’s Downfall is Certain
It is extremely unfortunate that the Congress and its coalition partners could not comprehend the national significance of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya. While the entire nation came together to celebrate this auspicious occasion as a festival and express reverence towards Lord Shri Ram, the Congress and its allies remained distant due to their ideological disoriented politics.
Today, this politics has become a symbol of all kinds of vices and evils in politics. It is not just dynastic politics but has also become synonymous with divisive politics based on caste, region, community, and appeasement, thanks to the politics of the vote bank
The Congress, blinded by its vote bank politics, has never stood with the citizens on any national issue. Not only that, whenever there is a matter of national importance that enhances the pride and honor of the country, Congress only creates obstacles. It not only opposed the Ram Mandir movement but stooped so low as to question the existence of Lord Ram. Even today, perhaps Congress regrets that it could not break the ‘Ram Setu’ and is now unable to accept the truth of the construction of the magnificent Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
As people witness the opportunistic vote bank politics of Congress and its allies, there is no doubt that the nation will never forgive them. The continuous downfall of the Congress has led it to a point from where it is impossible to return. The intellectual decline that began after independence resulted in its organizational deterioration. The result was the rise of power-centric and disoriented ideology, which became the cause of Congress’s downfall.
Today, this politics has become a symbol of all kinds of vices and evils in politics. It is not just dynastic politics but has also become synonymous with divisive politics based on caste, region, community, and appeasement, thanks to the politics of the vote bank. Today, when the public has rejected it from power and is learning lessons in every election, Congress is relying on negative propaganda and lies in politics. It believes that by repeating baseless accusations, it can return to power.
As long as Congress remains detached from constructive politics, disrespecting democratic institutions, and supporting those who break the country, the public will continue to teach it lessons in elections. This National Convention of the BJP calls upon the selfishness, nepotism, corruption, negative, and defeatist politics of Congress and the INDI Alliance to be defeated and to unite under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with the resolve of a developed India.
