In a momentous occasion graced by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party’s National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, the two-day National Convention of the BJP commenced at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on 17 February, 2024. The programme was attended by the Union Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh along with the Union Home Affairs and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah, and all central ministers of the party, Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states, Deputy Chief Ministers, State and District Presidents, as well as all party office-bearers. Nearly 10,000 delegates from across the country participated in the convention.

Before the convention was formally kicked off, the BJP flag was unfurled by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda. The convention kicked off with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the rendition of the national anthem. The bill to abolish Article 370, which had been stalled for years due to political animosity, was swiftly passed in both houses of Parliament within three days under the leadership of esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. This was made possible by the adept strategy of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, leading to the permanent abolition of Article 370.

On January 22, 2024, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi observed an 11-day penance to honour Bhagwan Ram’s homecoming, leading to the realization of the temple and the vision of Ram Rajya. In the 2009 elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party garnered 18.8% of the country’s support. However, under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, this surged to 31.3% in 2014. In 2019, the party surpassed its own record by securing 303 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, up from 282, and its vote share rose from 31% to 37%.

Prior to 2014, the BJP governed only 5 states in the country. However, today, the NDA government holds power in 17 states, with the BJP leading majority governments in 12 of them. Before 2014, the BJP represented 17.5% of the population, but this figure has now surged to 58%.

Additionally, under the Jal Jeevan Mission, piped water has been delivered to the homes of 11 crore people.

Through the Navmatdata Sammelan, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji addressed over 3.2 million new voters. The Yuva Morcha played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of this program by effectively implementing it on the ground.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the BJP has successfully connected around 10 crore women to self-help groups. Now, the party was committed to empowering 3 crore women as ‘Lakhpati Didis’.

Due to the policies implemented during the tenure of the BJP, higher education enrollment has surged by 44% in the SC category, 65% in the ST category, and 44% in the OBC category. The Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile scheme has effectively curbed corruption, ensuring that approximately Rs. 30 lakh crore directly reaches the accounts of the underprivileged.

Under the leadership of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the BJP secured victory and formed the government at the Center for two consecutive terms. Additionally, the BJP achieved success in Uttarakhand in two consecutive elections. The overwhelming victory in the assembly elections of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh was credited to the people’s confidence in the guarantees of the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has bestowed the prestigious Bharat Ratna upon the distinguished sons of India, former Prime Ministers Shri Choudhary Charan Singh and Shri PV Narasimha Rao, in recognition of their lifelong contributions to the nation. Additionally, the commendable decision to honour Jananayak Karpoori Thakur, respected Shri Lal Krishna Advani, and agricultural scientist Shri MS Swaminathan with the Bharat Ratna is a noteworthy gesture.

In the pursuit of India’s development, the Bharatiya Janata Party has accomplished the construction of an extensive network spanning 3 lakh 75 thousand kilometres of roads in rural areas. Additionally, the installation of optical fiber in 2 lakh panchayats has facilitated internet connectivity and 1300 new world-class railway stations are being built.
