Nagaland BJP Office inaugurated and Membership Drive launched
The BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda inaugurated the state BJP office and launched the membership drive of Nagaland on 14 November, 2022. He described the state BJP office as a centre of culture for party karyakartas.
Addressing the Karyakartas Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda said, for us the party office is not merely an office; it is the centre of activity for our karyakartas. Shri Narendra Modi, after becoming the Prime Minister in 2014, had set this goal that the party should have its own well-organized office in every district and in every state headquarters across the country. This mega plan was started by the then BJP National President and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah on mission mode. Out of 512 districts across the country, offices in 237 districts have been completed while 153 district offices are under construction.
World’s largest democratic party
He said our journey which started with Jana Sangh in 1951, continues today in the form of the Bharatiya Janata Party. For us, the nation comes first, the party comes second and the self comes last. Today, BJP is the world’s largest democratic party with approximately 18 crore primary members.
In Nagaland also, the Bharatiya Janata Party has progressed rapidly. In 2013, our vote share in Nagaland was only 1.8 percent; it increased to 15% in 2018. Today, the BJP has 3.3 lakh primary members in Nagaland.
To join Nagaland BJP, give missed call to 8298296060
Shri Nadda said today, I am also launching the membership drive of Nagaland BJP. I thank State BJP President Shri Temjen Imna Along and his entire team for this initiative and extend my best wishes for the success of the drive. We have set the target to increase the party membership to four lakh members in Nagaland. For this, BJP has started a mobile number 8298296060 on which the residents of Nagaland can join BJP by giving missed calls.
BJP believes in all-inclusive development
The National President said in almost all the political parties in the country, the family is the party, whereas for the Bharatiya Janata Party, the party is the family. This is the basic difference between the BJP and other parties. BJP believes in all-inclusive development. We follow the motto of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, BJP believes in service, good governance and last mile delivery.
“Act East”
Shri Nadda said Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi talks about “Act East” and not “Look East”. He himself has visited the North-East about 50 times. Every 15 days, one of our Union Ministers visits the Northeast and takes stock of the development works there.
He said, under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi, a peaceful solution to the Bodo movement has been reached. The Karbi-Onlong problem has been resolved. The Bru-Reang Pact has been implemented peacefully in Tripura. The Naga Peace Accord has also been implemented peacefully. Disputes between the states of the Northeast are also being settled peacefully.
On the occasion, Union Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, BJP National Jt. General Secretary (Org.) Shri Shiv Prakash, BJP Coordinator of North-East states & National Spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra, Nagaland BJP President Shri Temjen Imna Along, Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland Shri Y Patton were also present.
