Formal job creation under EPFO increases by 9.1% in September

Formal job creation under the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation jumped by 9.1% in September, 2022 to 1.68 million compared to 1.54 million added in September 2021 as economic activities picked up with the start of festive season in India.

The provisional payroll data of EPFO, released on 20 November, 2022 shows that the formal job creation under the retirement fund body in September remained nearly the same as August when it stood at 1.69 million.
