Manipur Would Become An Important Centre For East Asia : PM Modi

Addressing a huge public meeting in Imphal, Manipur on 22 February, 2022 Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said, “During Congress rule, Manipur only got inequality and unbalanced development but in the last five years, the Double Engine Sarkar of BJP has made sincere efforts for the development of Manipur.” He said Manipur would become an important centre for East Asia with the completion of the highway connecting Myanmar and Thailand.

Shri Modi further said that the BJP government has taken complete care of Manipur even during the pandemic, be it providing free vaccines to every poor and tribal family equally or building a robust health system. He said even in this Corona crisis, the BJP government is ensuring free ration to 22 lakh people of Manipur. Hitting out at the opposition, he remarked, “The Congress could never understand the feelings of the people of the North East and the problems of the people.”
