PM Garib Kalyan Yojana will be extended for five more years to empower the poor : PM Modi

Electioneering has gained momentum for Assembly elections- 2023 in five poll bound states- Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, BJP National President Shri JP Nadda, Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and others senior leaders addressing hosts of public meetings and organising grand road shows in various constituencies across these states in support of the party candidates. Massive public gatherings are also taking place in the meetings of Hon’ble Prime Minister and other leaders and it seems already the people have made up their mind to give a decisive mandate to BJP this time.

Meanwhile, the first phase of assembly election was concluded on 07 November, 2023 and with it the election atmosphere has further surcharged across the states. Following are the excerpts of speeches made by PM Shri Modi and other leaders in various election rallies

Ahead of the Assembly Election in the state of Madhya Pradesh, PM Shri Narendra Modi addressed two mega public meetings in Seoni and Khandwa. The PM said, “BJP Government in MP symbolizes continuity in good governance & development”.
Shri Modi said, “Unlike the Scam-laden Congress Governments, we have enabled Garib Kalyan in the true sense”. He added that the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana will be extended for five more years to empower the poor.

Congress only believes in Family Rule

Highlighting the contributions of the various Janjatiyas, the PM said that both MP and India have tremendously benefitted from the efforts of the tribal leaders such as Rani Durgavati and Raja Shankar Shah, among various others who have prominently contributed to India’s Freedom. He added, “Congress Party only believes in Nepotism, Political Favoritism and Family Rule.” He said that Congress has appropriated everything, including India’s Freedom Legacy, as their own, and their manifesto is a testimony to the same. Shri Modi added, “For the BJP, the contribution of all matters and that you all are India for us”.

BJP introduced the Ministry of Tribal Affairs

On the various policies that have facilitated Tribal Development in India, PM Shri Modi highlighted that it was the BJP that introduced the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and created a separate budget for the same. It has been the BJP Government that has honoured the legacy of various tribal leaders, be it the labelling of ‘Janjatiya Diwas’ on the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda or the construction of a memorial for ‘Rani Durgavati’ in Jabalpur and naming the Bhopal Railway Station on ‘Rani Kamlapati’.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana

PM Shri Modi emphasized how the PM Vishwakarma Yojana is a means to honour the poor and downtrodden of India to preserve and promote traditions. He said that in MP, the Congress is only befooling the people by its attempt to contest an election.
PM Shri Modi said that in the end, the only thing that matters for the Congress is ‘Family’. He remarked, “The Congress has no future roadmap for the country and the state as well as their future”. On the state of Congress’ politics, he said, “The Congress even today seeks votes in the names of their forefathers”. He added that it is only the BJP Government that has always envisaged working for the empowerment of all, enabling true social justice. He said that all Government policies are directed to develop MP where its youth realize their true potential. PM Modi stated that all measures are being taken to transform MP’s industry and tourism potential.

Congress-led policies have made MP BIMARU

Addressing the people in Khandwa, Shri Narendra Modi criticised the Congress. He said, “Congress-led policies have made MP BIMARU and have treated the state like an ATM Machine.” It has been the wrong policies of the Congress that kept Khandwa a backward district, depriving it of the fruits of development. He added that through the Aspirational Districts Program, Khadwa today has truly prospered under the 10-year BJP rule, he said.

Talking about the instability-ridden Congress Party, the PM retorted, “Congress Party is a synonym for instability, arrogance, crime, corruption, appeasement and mafia-ridden system of governance.” He stated that considering the dismal track record of the Congress, the people of MP have to be careful and vigilant to prevent the Congress-led malaise.

Poor & poverty is biggest and only caste in India

Speaking on poverty, the PM stated, “Poor & poverty is the biggest and the only caste in India.” He added that for the same the Government has implemented several positive policies that saw the exit of 13.5 crore people out of poverty in India in 5 years. He added that, moreover, Modi means the fulfilment of all guarantees.
Shri Modi expressed his gratitude to all people who had gathered in large numbers and remarked that a ‘Double-Engine Sarkar is critical for MP’s developmental prospects and appealed to all the first-time voters to vote for a government that facilitates the rise of MP’s developmental and economic prospects to ‘Top-5’ Indian states.

Kanker, Chhattisgarh

‘BJP’s resolution is to bring Chhattisgarh among top states in the country’

Addressing the ‘Vijay Sankalp Maharally’ in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker on 02 November, 2023, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said, “BJP’s resolve is to strengthen Chhattisgarh identity. BJP’s resolve is to protect the interests of every poor, tribal and backward people. BJP’s resolve is to bring Chhattisgarh among the top states of the country. Development cannot take place wherever there is Congress.”

Shortcomings of the Congress government

PM remarked, “Over the past 5 years, you’ve witnessed the shortcomings of the Congress government. During this time, the residences, bungalows, and vehicles of Congress leaders have seen significant growth. Unfortunately, only the children of

Congress leaders and their relatives reaped the benefits during this period.”
Talking about the development schemes initiated by the centre, Shri Modi emphasized, “The BJP government’s foremost concern is the well-being of the poor. We are committed to safeguarding both your current and future interests. Therefore, whatever schemes the BJP government at the Center has implemented during the last 9 years, their aim remains the same – the welfare of the poor.”

Slamming the Congress party, The PM said, “It is decided to build lakhs of houses for lakhs of poor families of Chhattisgarh. But the Congress government here is not allowing them to be built. BJP government made a scheme to provide free ration for you. But Congress made a scam in this scheme also in Chhattisgarh.”

Quality hospitals in every village

PM Shri Modi mentioned that he launched the initiative to establish quality hospitals in every village through the Ayushman Bharat scheme right from Bastar. “Today, these healthcare facilities are commonly referred to as Ayushman Arogya Mandirs by people across the nation. Thousands of such Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have also been established in Chhattisgarh,” he said.

Addressing the huge gathering, PM Shri Modi asserted, “Modi’s guarantee means guarantee of fulfilment of every guarantee. Only Congress leaders can do the work of making false announcement by swearing on Ganga ji. We have completed the tasks which seemed impossible till 9 years ago, because Modi had guaranteed them. We have also ensured reservation for women in Lok Sabha and Assembly. We are also asking those sections of the society which no one asked before. Under PM Vishwakarma Yojana, every Vishwakarma Sathi will be given financial assistance of thousands of rupees.”

Demand of Mhara-Mahara community

The Prime Minister emphasized that the BJP government addressed the longstanding demand of the Mhara-Mahara community by granting them Scheduled Caste (SC) status. “Additionally, the BJP government has opened doors for the future of 12 communities by extending Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to them. It is our government that conferred constitutional recognition upon the OBC Commission,” he added.

250 Govardhan plants are fraudulent

Highlighting the Congress’s misleading assertions, PM Shri Modi noted, “The Congress has asserted the initiation of over 300 Govardhan plants in Chhattisgarh. However, upon verification by the Central Government, it was revealed that approximately 250 Govardhan plants are fraudulent and no longer operational.”
PM Shri Modi said, “Half a decade ago, the Congress made a resounding pledge to eradicate alcohol consumption, but your concerns persist. Your income is being plundered, and your children’s welfare is at stake. Instead of keeping their promise, the Congress government was involved in a liquor scandal, ultimately benefiting its leaders.”

‘Congress Govt of Chhattisgarh leaving no opportunity to loot you’



Ahead of Chhattisgarh assembly elections, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 04 November, 2023 congratulated the people of state for the newly unveiled BJP manifesto, which promises to transform their aspirations into reality. Addressing a public meeting in Chhattisgarh’s Durg, PM Shri Modi said, “Within this manifesto, priority has been given to the women, youth, and farmers of Chhattisgarh. The BJP has a consistent track record of delivering on its promises.”

Unveiling a bundle of lies of Congress, PM Modi questioned, “What is the priority of Congress? Congress’s priority is to fill its coffers with corruption. The priority of Congress is to distribute jobs to the favourites of its leaders and to exclude your children from jobs. In the PSC scam, this is what Congress did. Congress expelled your children and recruited its children.”

30% commission on projects

PM Shri Modi said that the state government is taking a 30% commission on projects. The PM slammed the Congress over wrongdoing using a new slogan, “Tees taka kakka, Aapka kaam pakka”.

He said that the Congress government of Chhattisgarh is not leaving any opportunity to loot the people of the state, which is why they have not even left the name of Mahadev.

Hitting out at the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, PM Shri Modi said, “Recently, a huge amount of money was discovered in Raipur, which is believed to be linked to the Congress election campaign. Reports suggest that the money trail leads to the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, raising questions about his connection with the individuals involved in this alleged scam in Dubai. After all, why has the Chief Minister here become nervous after this money has been seized?”

“Action will indeed be taken against those who looted Chhattisgarh. Account for every penny will be taken from them…I assure you once again after the BJP Government is formed in the state, such scams will be strictly investigated, and those who looted you will be sent to jail,” he further added.

Chhattisgarh government has broken your trust

PM Shri Modi listed a series of scams committed by the state government. He said, “The corrupt government of Chhattisgarh has broken your trust by committing scams one after the other and has insulted Chhattisgarh Mahtari. PSC scam and Mahadev APP scam are already in the news. Furthermore, the report card of the Congress government reveals a multitude of additional scams, ranging from liquor and cement scams to rice and go than scams. Congress has left no opportunity untapped to exploit Chhattisgarh.” The Prime Minister assured that, under the BJP government, such fraudulent activities will undergo rigorous investigation, and those who embezzle public funds will be prosecuted and imprisoned.

‘I guarantee you’

Addressing the huge rally, PM Shri Modi stated, “I guarantee you, As soon as the BJP government is formed, lakhs of poor families of Chhattisgarh will get permanent houses quickly. The work of providing toilets to the poor should be done. The work of providing free gas connections to our poor sisters should be done. There should be supply of tap water to every house. After the formation of the BJP government, all such works will be expedited. And this is Modi’s guarantee to our sisters and daughters of Chhattisgarh.”

In a significant declaration, Prime Minister Shri Modi conveyed, “The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana is scheduled to conclude in December this year. However, I am pleased to announce that the BJP government is extending the initiative to provide free rations to the underprivileged for the next five years. This is Modi’s guarantee.”

“The BJP government has made such arrangements that no matter you go to any part of the country, you will continue to get free ration. That is why Modi has given you the facility of One Nation, One Ration Card,” he added.

PM’s address to the people of Mizoram

BJP is committed to creating a Marvellous Mizoram: PM Modi

Addressing the people of Mizoram via video conference, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 05 November, 2023 said, “Before 2014, people perceived the northeastern states, such as Mizoram, as distant from Delhi both physically and psychologically. The BJP recognized this sense of distance and, after coming into power as part of the NDA government in 2014, made it a priority to bridge this gap by addressing the aspirations and needs of the northeastern states.”

“In the last nine years, I have had the privilege of visiting the Northeastern states 60 times. Apart from this, large-scale development and connectivity works also reduced the physical distance. BJP has brought the country’s capital, Delhi, to the doorstep of the people of the North-East,” he further added.

Highlighting the infrastructural development in the region, PM Shri Modi stated, “During one of my earlier visits to Mizoram, I had promised to work for ‘Transformation by Transportation’. Since then, a revolution has happened across sectors due to the work of the BJP-led Government. In railways, we did something that had not been done in 7 decades of independence. When it comes to roadways, our work across the Northeast is well known. Till 2013-14, the total length of National Highways in the Northeast was 8,500 kilometres. We almost doubled it to 15,700 kilometres in 2022-23.”

Developmental initiatives in Mizoram

PM Shri Modi discussed the impact of various developmental initiatives in Mizoram. He mentioned the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which provides free healthcare to the poor, benefiting around 4.5 lakh Mizoram residents across 100 hospitals.

Additionally, he talked about the support for farmers through schemes like PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, with approximately 1,75,000 Mizoram farmers receiving financial assistance annually, he said.

The PM announced, “You know that PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was started during the Corona pandemic. Under this scheme, free ration has been ensured to 80 crore poor citizens of the country for the last three years. Now our Government has decided that the scheme of free ration to the poor will be extended for the next five years. No poor should remain hungry; every poor should get free ration; this is Modi’s guarantee.”

Swachh Bharat Mission

Thanking the people of Mizoram for their work in Swachh Bharat Mission, PM Shri Modi said, “It is you who made Mizoram the state with 100 Percent functional public toilets. It is you who is building a Clean and Green Mizoram.”

Regarding the sports talent and infrastructure, PM Shri Modi remarked, “The youth of India are flying the flag of India higher and higher in every global sports tournament. There is great passion for sports in the Northeast. This region, including Mizoram, has played a key role in India’s rise. We are committed to increasing the overall sports infrastructure. We are focusing on creating sports academies and scholarships for young athletes in the future.”
